My car is constantly loosing accerlation while I drive it. While driving in town doing 50kms/hr, my car will suddenly drop in speed and it takes a bit to pick up the speed again. During the time of my problem I can't get my car to go faster even when I push on the gas pedal. Now I need my radio code to start my radio. The year of my car is a 1999 S70 Volvo. Can you please help me?
I have used the expensive fuel in the past. I've had this car for over 5 years now and this has never happened to me. I was thinking that it might have something to do with my gas pedal.I have used the expensive fuel in the past. I've had this car for over 5 years now and this has never happened to me. Is the noise constant and changes rate dependent on the speed of the vehicle? Or, is it cyclic in nature. I am thinking your wheel bearings, inner/outer CV joints or a loose caliper mounting bolt. Does the problem come up when you are driving straight or turning or when you go over a bump. Many possibilities... Need for info on the problem.
Sounds like your fan belt is glazed or loose. At higher speeds the belt slips over waterpump and doesn't drive pump fast enough to circulate coolant. That would be first thing I would check...
Other possibilities: waterpump, blocked heater core, fan clutch.
The sounds like one of two things, a clooged cat converter or the fuelpump is loose preasure, you will need to test the fuel preasure at the time of the power loss,
This may been an ignition module or a MAF sensor, this car may need to be diagnosed using a OBD I computer code reader to accurately diagnose the problem.

However, if you have recently changed your battery this problem can occur and will take some driving time 30 min-60 min for the computer to fully reset.
