The fuse box is located under the dash, you have to remove the cover and the diagram will tell you which fuse is for each item, there is a little fuse puller once you identify the fuse for the locks just pull it out and check and see if the little wire is broken, if so this is the bad fuse and need replacing.
SOURCE: BMW remote control problem
I have a e60 525i that I just brought and it has the same problem, the owners manual suggests driving with the key in the ignition for a long time as the batteries are rechargable and may have gone flat, i have tried this and it doesnt seem to work
i also read something about getting water in the aerial about the rear window and that wrecks the receiever. My car isn;t under warranty so not looking forwarding to taking it to bmw
SOURCE: Power Door Lock Problem
I have has my door panel off and realized that if the window switch becomes loose or falls off this will prevent the door switches from working. As far as the back window and lock. Same problem same problem on mine. The rivet that holds the actuator for the lock corrodes and the actuator binds in the window mechanism. Not easy to fix but fixable.
SOURCE: fuse for locks constantly blows
Try replacing the relay. Clean the socket of the relay and fuse
SOURCE: Remote door locks won't work
There is a flash for the body control module for this problem. You need to go to the dealership to get it performed though.
