No fusible link will be found on the brake light wires. That stuff is all under hood and just on a couple of power wires. If you don't find a blown fuse, then your brake light switch is faulty or just needs adjusted if the wires are connected to the button switch behind the brake pedal.
Check your fuses first, park lights, I think. Pull the light switch to first click and check if your front park lights are on. If no lights are on, the headlight switch is probably bad. If the fronts work, but no tail lights or dash lights, the problem is probably a wiring problem under the dash. The same wire to the rear tail lights is usually with a splice to the dash illumination lights.
Put the wires safe from grounded chasis.Cech the main fuse (s) usualy under the hood.Try to start.Ceck after the function of the lights/turn signals.Rare:Back wheel may cross the trunk release, fuel pump wiring, stop lights etc.
Sounds like you have already changed all those bulbs to no avail. Next is to suspect the wire. There is a one wire that brings electricity to all those 3 items. Your wires are color coded. If you will take any old wire and run it from the bartttery positive ( + ) post to the back of the truck and skin a little insulation off the side marker or the license plate light wire, these should all light up.. Now, you will need to replace that broken wire that keeps these from working. You need not replace the whole harness from under the dash, just run a wire from the other side of the truck that does work over to the side that does not. Be blessed.
Try checking the fuse first. If it's ok there is a brake light switch on the steering column under the dash, or on the master cylinder under the hood. If it is on the column check that the wire isn't loose or the switch came loose. You should be able to unplug the switch and take a short peice of wire and jump it between tne connectors. There should be only two wires to it. If the lights work change the switch.
I concur, replace the fuse, even if it checks good and clean the connections. If that doesn't work, pull the dash and look for a loose wire. Good luck buddy.
I think I found the problem, part of the high beam switch was burned, resulting in a loose connection. When I connected the loose wires, the lights worked. My guess is, the wire burned is the relay wire to go from low to high. I am going to replace the switch, hopefully this will solve the problem, I think it will.
Check the fusible links at the starter. One of them may be burned. You mentioned that it shuts down when you turn a corner. Check the wiring going to the ignition switch under the steering column, you may have a loose wire there as well.
