I'm guessing they're rusted on? After removing the calipers, try taking a hammer to the outer edges of the rotor. Give it a good hard wack on each side (top, bottom, left, right) but for safety sake, put a nut back on to hold the rotor if it does decide to come flying off.

Changed the rear rotors and brake pads and there is a grinding noise

Here is what I have found out. I have an 2008 Toyota Tundra 5.7 4x4, and I changed the rear brakes and rotors. No noise prior to service. After installing new rotors, I started getting a metal scraping noise. After $300.00 in diagnostics, I found that the new rotors are rubbing the against the brake shield. The inner lip of the rotor needs to be machined down to avoid this rubbing. See toyota tundra forum.com for pics.

How to fix my 2000 toyota tundra brake prolem

Chatter is caused by brake pad vibration, they make a paste that you put on the back of the brake pads to reduce it or make it go away, another thing that causes it is the rotors were no finished properly when they were turned, another issue is poor quality brake pads, I have always used Wagner or Raybestos brand they are the best and have anti squeak/chatter materials in the pad material.
