1999 chevy silverado c1500 v8 5.3 liter have changed the fuel pump and the motor still will not turn over

The engine will still turn over with a bad fuel pump, but it wont actually start and run. it will jsut turn and turn and turn but not run. you might wanna check out your starter motor.

Ched the fuel relay i just change my fuel pump and lines and had the same problem the motor cranked but wasnt getting gas i change the fuel relay and also check the fuse to the pump and that was bad i changed that good luck ................................

Have you changed plugs and plug wires lately. Sounds like misfire, possible ! Should also check fuel pressure , plugged fuel filter or weak fuel pump ! Distributor not rotating after changing the fuel pump on 3.8 chevy
The 3.8 liter engine has a timing chain. The distributor shaft should be turning if your timing chain is still intact. Have you pulled it out and reinstalled it? Maybe you did not get it seated right.
This must not be a '99 Silverado as shown in the heading? Give a reply back, and explain please. You replaced a fuel pump in the gas tank, and now the distributor shaft is not rotating? There is no plausible relation between the two-please explain.

2000 Chevy Silverado 1500 with 5.8 liter gas motor reading code saying spark plug gap is incorrect on #3 and # 5 plugs but gap is correct
you may have a bad coils or coil boots in those cylinders, try switching the coils to a good cylinder and see if the codes change to the other cylinders, if they change then replace the coils, the computer see it drawing more cuurent so it thinks its the plug because its not misfiring or completly grounding out.

Just changed the fuel pump in 99 Chevy Ex PU Z71. Ran great, then would start later in the day. Replaced battery and battery cables and still won't start. Any suggestions?
check then crank positon sensor, it control the fuel system. it tell the engine computer when to send fuel

Could be as simple as your fuel filter...after the truck starts..can you keep it runing by gunning the motor?

If you can feather the accelerator to keep the motor runing, I'd start at the filter, and then check the fuel pump
