Hi, passats of your cars year suffer from water leaking into the car from the heater inlet ducting mounted forward of the windscreen on the N/S. This contaminates a number of multiplug wiring connections mounted inside the car to the left of the passenger side footwell (behind the plastic kickpanel). Remove the panel and inspect each of the multiplugs by pulling them apart. Any connections affected buy water ingress and corrosion should be cleaned with contact cleaner and treated with water repellant spray (WD40 etc). To affect a permanent repair the heater ducting/inlet box will need to be removed and sealed - probably a garage job.
Hope that helps Matt...

Why does the car alarm keeps going off?

does the alarm set when you lock car with the fob and turn off when opening car with the fob ?if so the problem could lay with the alarm sensing what it thinks is a break in attempt so check that all interior lights are off when vehicle locked, don't forget trunk and engine bay as there are sometimes lights under the hood, make sure all windows are completely shut and close the air vents as wind blowing through dash vents could activate the ultra sonics let me know how you get on

Mercury Mountaineer car alarm sounds for no reason

Try using the doorkey after the door has been closed as if you did not have power locks. But most of the time, its automatic with the antitheft.

A shorting battery can activate the antitheft system. Have the battery tested.

Last night the alarm went off locking the keys in the car. We had to use a hanger to get the keys out and now the alarm will not shut off?

The reason your alarm system is going off is because you used a coat hanger to open the door. This only proves that the system WORKS! It simply thinks that you are trying to steal the car - so it is screaming about it to tell on you!

To get the alarm to turn off, close and lock all of the doors (don't forget the keys :) ) Then use the KEY to open the driver's door. This should disarm the system and the security light will stop flashing and the horn and headlams should turn off and everything should be back to normal.

2002 Honda Accord SE alarm won't turn off. We've had this car to Honda, and never can seem to get a solution. It will work correctly or not, we never know, at least it won't be going off. But then one day...

a work around for when you turn the key to the unlock position and alarm goes off.
Turn the key back to the lock position.
Turn the key back to the unlock position. The alarm should now be disabled.
hope it helps a little

Locks, Map Light(s) and alarm not working!

it sounds like you are having a problem with the ecm which is the electronic control module which is the BRAIN of your entire car. Also when this happens everything goes haywire as if the car is acting retarded because the ecm is not receiving the proper codes on how to perform and remember the ecm is a computer that could have corrosion or rust on the connection points. check this ok that might help.
