Looking at change out the coolant sensor car is over heating but first it will blow cool air before it over heats when it finals blows hot air and the therostate opens up it goes back down we have changed the therostate need to change before the head caste blows

Dear Over Heating, What this sounds like to me is not a coolant sensor issue. You need to first check the level of coolant(antifreeze), and make sure it's at the appropriate level so you can rule that out.Be sure to check this cold so you don't scald yourself. If the coolant was low then there is a air bleeding procedure to get the air out of the cooling system on this vehicle. If you have the chilton manual then you can abide by that guide,Also get a little visual between the lower intake manifold and the head.See if you can see and coolant streaming down in that area on either front or rear side, these vehicles are notorious for this problem if not then get back to me,Chan I'm here to help!!!

It sounds like you have a head gasket leak or an intake manifold antifreese leak. Have a coolant system pressure test performed to determine where & the extent of the leak. The 2003 impala is noted for this problem. Good luck!

No heat in heater when idiling when reviv motor up has a little heat and heats up when ideling in traffic

Sounds like you may have combustion gasses creating an air lock in the cooling system. Or plugged heater core / radiator. Definitely a circulation problem of some kind either flow of hot antifreeze is restricted or the heater should blow very hot air especially when the car heats up so long as all the ducting and heater controls are functioning properly. If the vehicle has been overheated you more than likely have combustion gasses in the cooling system. Water pump will not work properly for combustion gasses that mix with coolant. Check to see if the coolant is beginning to get a little oily and dirty, this will indicate combustion gasses entering cooling system.

I HAVE A 2003 LINCOLN NAVIGATOR. I HAVE NO HEAT AND IT IS BLOWING OUT COLD AIR. I CHANGED THE THERMOSTAT, AND 2 AIR TEMPERATURE CONTROL SENSORS, AND DID A FLUSH. I STILL HAVE NO HEAT. I NEED HELPPP PL

Most ductwork doors are controlled with actuator motors that open or close flap doors. These doors change the amount of heated air that enters the system as well as where it goes such as the floor or defrost. There are probably 6-8 of them on the system. My guess is that one of these actuator motors is not working due to its age.

1999 VW Passat heat not working

Could be your thermostat... If defective, it will not allow the engine to heat up. Take the coolant cap off before you start the car when it is cooled off. start the engine and let it idle, look at the coolant. The coolant should not be flowing or moving right when you start the engine, if it is, the thermostat is bad. If you dont have enough coolant and you see it is low, this may also cause the heater to stop working. Someone may have by-passed your heater coil, check that. Sometimes when a heater coil leaks, people will by pass it so that they can continue to use the car or they cant afford to change it. It should be located on the passenger side under the dash or on the firewall inside the engine compartment on the passenger side. Another thing could be your climate control which is a fancy name for the heater controls on your dash, sometimes the switches become defective and will not operate the heater.

Would the heater control valve malfunctioning make the engine overheat blowing hot air out the heater one moment, then not blowing the hot air, temp gage spikes 225 plus. The motor takes awhile to heat up...

Heater control valve malfunction will not cause engine to overheat unless coolant is leaking externally...Overheating going down the road can be the result of a few different things...Partly clogged radiator...Insufficient air flow due to possible fan problem...External coolant leak...Make sure fans are operting properly and have cooling system pressure tested for leaks...Gaining and losing heat on the inside of the vehicle usually means system is low on coolant but you must find out where coolant is going

2002 kia sportage temp gauge runs hot while driving

Cheak to see that the coolant fan is operating with the A/C turned on. The fan has to work to help the engine stay cool and help the A/C. When you apply heat on the control it acts to reduce the coolant temp. You will have to get the coolant fan operation checked. This can be :fan motor, fan relay, temp sensor and computer. Good luck

97 Ford Econoline air conditioning and vent settings blowing hot

I know from experience that if the coolant is to low ( not just the freon levels in the compresor but the antifreeze/coolant level as well) the AC system will not cool and will blow hot. Check the coolant Antifreeze and freon levels, even with the Coolant being a little low my 1998 Ford E150 Van will blow hot. After you have ruled out of these possibilities and the chance it is the thermostat most likely the problem is what Ford calls the "Flap" it controls the air flow through the vent system when you switch from Heat to AC. When the Flap is working it closes off one systems air flow so as to not interfere with the current climate selection.

No Heat

You need to verify the blend door is operating and the heater core is not plugged or coolant flow to it is restricted.
