Honda civic 2004: the car alarm (factory installed) goes off when we unlick the car with a key, but not with the remote. How do we stop the car alarm from going off?

This may sound really dumb but have you tried shutting the alarm off with the remote before turning the key? I am sorta wondering if your key is worn out and the alarm system reads it like someone putting a screw driver in there to unlock it. Just a thought. I am guessing here so please be gentle on me. How to disable the alarm in the Hyundai 2003 Tiburon car without the remote?

The procedure is as follows:--
  1. Put the key in the ignition and turn to the "On" position.
  2. Leave it in that position until the alarm stops, between 30-120 seconds.
  3. Wait 30 seconds after that and start car.
This will help.thanks.

I have an 03 tiburon that stopped running at the end of last year. what happens is the electronics work but it won't turn over. it acts like the car alarm is going off with the turn signals flashing and...

assuming you say that the engine turns over but wont start,1st make sure you have good batteries in the remote then sit in car with key in ignition turned on,press/hold the alarm button on the remote, get back to me if this doesnt work (with both remotes).

My remote stopped working and when I use the key to open, the alarm goes off

you must use the remote and the key to get in and start the car.or the alarm will go off. buy new remotes or new batteries for the old ones asap.

My alarm wont turn off. my car wont start. its a 2004 tiburon.

With alarm activated your ignition is disabled.Find the combination to disable it.With GM's you hold opposing buttons on the fob till it beeps twice. The dealer should help for no charge.

Reset remote 2003 tiburon

Dealer only. I recommend that you discard the factory remote and get an after market keyless entry installed. The Tiburon's factory alarm is notorious for locking the owner out of their own car.

My 2004 Tiburon GT will not unlock with the remote. When I use my key in the door my anti-theft goes off and I cannot start my car. I have replaced the remote battery and disconnected the battery terminals...

you can get it to crank but you just won't be able to use the keyless function without going back to the dealer first locate the ecu fuse in the fusebox under the dash, pull it out but don't put it down. Next put your key in the ignition and start turning over the motor, now the car won't crank or push oil through the motor with the ecu deactivated so don't hold it for too long. Now as your turning the motor over, reinsert the ecu fuse. The car will fire to life...you will have essentially reflashed your ecu so people with tuned ecu's beware. Your keyless won't work but hey at least now you can drive to get it fixed...as for the naysayers, yes I tried this on my tiburon and it still works fine so don't worry...good luck

2000 Hyundai Tiburon will not start

There is NO possible electrical cause (within REASON) which would create the problem you describe. I assume you tried the Keyless Entry Remote to DIS-ARM the anti-theft system. If the ALARM system was activated, it will stay activated until it's de-activated by the remote (typical design feature). The best SOLUTION is to take vehicle into Hyundai an have the problem diagnosed.

2003 Tiburon GT Remote Key

Seriously don't use the factory alarm system / keyless entry.

While my car was under warranty, the alarm malfunctioned and it wouldn't disarm. The solution was to have the car towed to a dealership and install a new BCM. This would have cost me over $1,000 - and it's not an isolated case.

Don't get a Hyundai key fob. Have an after market alarm / keyless entry installed. It will be cheaper & easier.
