Check the pressure from the fuel pump and the throttle sensors.

Testimonial: "thankyou, checked pressure today ok now it drives but loses power when hot and idles very low but picks up after a minute then power goes again"

Either the pump is worn out or a sensor has a bad connection - corroded or loose contacts.

1996 pontiac firebird will start up and then it will die . The fuel pump is working.

Well the fuel filter would be an easy choice, but it could be something electrical.
You'll need to figure out if you are missing fuel pressure or spark when it stops running to know how to proceed.

Loss of power

It could be your fuel filtter, or there is a filter on the inlet side of the pump, unscrew the 17 mm banjo fitting and remove the filter, the next thing to do is throw it over your shoulder and refit the banjo bolt, don't replace the filter in the pump.

Where is de gas filtter on my town country 06

the gas filter is located on top of the gas tank towards the middle of the car.the tank will have to be lowered to gain access to the lock clips that fasten the line to the fuel tank and the filter holding bolt.

Car wont start i canged mulitble this like plugs oli fuel filtters but it just wont start

Could be the fuel pump?? Or the ECU. check the fuses and see if there are any bad fuses and check the relay to your fuel pump to rule out that it is a bad pump. Good luck

Cant get car to stay running

Change the throttle position sensor. it cost about $42.00 at autozone. take your old one up and they will test it for you. this helped me .also if when you press on the break does your car seem like it is triing to stall. If so change your break booster it might have a vacum leak so check your hoses!
