probably you were not succesfull on fitting bulb into its place correctly. once headlights designed with really low focal point tolerances even you have a bit of wrong orientation of bulb it wont illuminate ground correctly. light rays scatters around from reflector. please check bulb and place it once more.

There are 2 methods....1 envolves removing the grill, but it's too brittle


Drivers side, stick your hand down by the alternator and over behind the headlight. You'll feel a 3" round rubber boot, just pull this off. You now can twist out your bulb and replace.

Passengers- remove the air cleaner top, at this point you'll have complete and easy access, same procedure as above.

There should be two clips at the back of the headlight assembly, just behind the frame. Pull these up and out to remove the assembly.

replace bulb first try to take out passenger side bulb and test it on the drivers side to c if it is the bulb

There is an access point in the wheel arch. remove cover to reveal the back of the headlight cover. just done mine. its fiddly.

Your low beam bulb filament is out -- replace the bulb.

you can access the bulbs from inside the engine compartment. the socker turns about a quarter turn to remove it. do NOT touch the bulb with your fingers as that will shorten the bulb life. you may have to remove the battery to change the one on that side.
