Cruise control not working in my 2003 ford


Go to aboutautomobile.com and enter your vehicle and year. There were some cruise controls that were recalled. Some controls were disconnected and simply not fixed. A fuse was added to prevent fires.

The VSS is located on the side of the transmission casing. As for your solenoid question, you need to be specific about which solenoid and what you are trying to repair or replace.

Location of Speed Sensor 1998 Ford Explorer XLT


polarcycle is right but there is a speed sensor on the drivers side top of the trans. toward the tail shaft or transfer case. there is as well a sensor inside the trans. itself that is mounted on the web. behind the overdrive band and drum.
