Certainly sounds like it has, remove the door handles and panel to obtain a full view, you will notice the if the glass has come away from the holders, when you reconnect the plug, watch the operation and see if the gearing has actually collapsed in the mechanism, cables may have severed, rollers may have collapsed, you can only tell by looking at it for a diagnosis. Go to your local dismantler and get him to supply you a complete unit, relativly cheap. this will eliminate a lot of fiddeling and guessing. ask the dismantler to battery test it for you before you pay. Good luck

I have problem with My 1994 Ford Mustang windows...they need help rolling up and down. When I push switch I can hear the motor run and a friend said he took apart and they are not off track. Also when all...

I have a 1990 Mustang with power windows. When i first got the car the windows rolled up and down fine, then the passenger one started going up slower than the driver one. When i needed to fix my power locks i had them change the window motor in the passenger side. Now the passenger window rolls up faster than the driver one. The problem is the window motors.......and about the motors still running: the switches probably need to be replaced as well. I can almost guarantee this will solve your problem:)

The driver's side window has become "detached", is

I would say your window is off track. You will need to remove the panel to get to it. The screws to the panel are probably in the corners. Take the panel off, should just be 4-5 screws. You will have to remove any plastic and foam inside the door to get to the window. Once removed, you should have access to the window track. If you have a question, let me know. I am here to help. Thanks for choosing FixYa.

Mt window wont go down on my driver side. you can hear the motor trying to go but the window is not moving

It is probably off track. You will have to take the side panel off to get access to it. Take the plastic and foam out. The motor may be stripped. It would run but it wouldn't push the window up.

Power window off track, motor still works

your window does not ride on a track the motor has a gear that drives a mechanism up and down. it sounds like the motor came loose.
pop the door panel and remount the motor, first pull the window all the way up. hope this helps

Driver side window is off track and stuck about 75% closed

If your power window motor is not moving up or down at all inside the door panel, you will need a new motor.
If your window is stuck and will not move, it is the motor - it is bad.
If your window falls down into the door panel, the window is off track.
Replacing a window motor is an easy fix, get another one from an auto parts store and replace it.
Good luck!

1994 geo prizm windows in back go down but not up.

is this on BOTH windows?? it is odd they both failed at the same time.
If you here the motor running there is something inside the door has let go or falling off. the door will have to be taken apart to be fixed.
this is what's inside YOUR door. (passanger side, drivers side is just a mirror image)
44e5675.jpg 1. there could be a problem between the motor gear and the moon gear. or 2 (most likely) the regulator arm has come off the window track or the window track has come off the glass.
hope this helps.

Rear driver side window will not go up.

The window has slipped of the track.Try moving it up and down, back and forth. Gently. Try it.

Power window

It is probably just off of the track. It could be worse. take the door apart and put the window back in the guide (track). Hope this helps.
