Its fine. if any one cylinder is 15% lower thats when you could have a rough running engine

Good day I want to find out, what is my compression test results on a Renault kangoo van 1.4 8V 2005 model

In pounds, all should be 140 LBS psi more or less and all within 5 lbs one way or the other. psi=pounds per square inch - measures on a special gauge for this reading. Hope this helps. http://www.auto-tune-up-and-repair-options.com/worn-motor-treatment.html

Injectors or distributor not firing

so now its timed wrong, right? double failure.

no engine option stated, wow. 1.0L or 1.3?

rule 1 on all EFI gas cars

no spark ?the ECU sees this? and cuts fuel. ! by design.

so spark,is first after good spec. compression.

check spark first. to all cylinders.

compression over 150psi?

a timing belt slip causes, like 80 psi, retarded bad cam.

so>>> stop skipping 60k tuneups and the new belt>????

?

if spark is good and compression , next is FUEL.

does it run on test FUEL for for 3 seconds? (spray induction port)

if not ?back up to my above list. BINGO on above.....!@!!!!

runs on test fuel for 3sec.? yes so,......

so is the ECU >CEL flashing 12s, all is well> no DTC\'errors?

flashing 12s it is.....

then

check fuel pressure using a real tool called a GAUGE>

to spec.

that is the order. no other works unless LUCKY

avoid luck, and wild guesssing.do the tests.

My 2007 camary se is burning oil

It is either two problems, bad rings or a bad valve, an easy way to test what is which is to get a compression test gauge and test each cylinder, then put a cap of oil in each cylinder as you test again, if psi jumps up significantly higher like 20 psi or more you probably have bad rings, if it doesn't rise too much you could have bad valve seals or maybe even bad valves. Which is allowing oil to enter into the cylinders to be mixed and burnt with the fuel.

So i was just wondering what the compression should be at cause i ran a compression test and on three of the cyliders the had a little over 100 PSI and the other was 70. and if the 70 is bad what do i do?

A car that old is not worth rebuilding the engine. For the price of an engine rebuild you can buy a 99 Saturn with half the miles. Or you can call a junkyard and see if they can locate you a SOHC saturn engine to fit a 92, probably any Saturn SOHC up to 95 will do. Used motor will cost 300-400 dollars plus removal/install while a rebuild will cost you 1500 at least plus a removal/install.

I have a 2001 Lexus rx 300 with a check engine light on with code P0301 cylinder 1 misfire. The spark plugs and ignition coils were already replaced. I swapped fuel injectors with known good cylinder and...

The minimum compression required is 95 psi, below this there is no good combustion, incusive the spark plug gets wet in gasoline
If this condition exists, you should check the piston rings and cylinder surface

engine wiring harness upper and lower could be degraded, coil could be bad, throttle positioner, fuel distributor could be bad and depending if its a half year car and you have an OVP that could be bad. Also after a full tune up have someone adjust the duty cycle.

I need compression specs for my 91 p/u 3.0 l 2958 cc v6 3vze sohc with acceptable ranges for a bank loan

The compression values for this truck are 115 to 140 psi. The values can't be more than 14 % apart from one another or the engine will be imbalanced and in need of an overhaul.

Engine miss firing

Check compression on engine and if that's good then check injectors(may be bad) . The key to use when checking compression with a compression guage is NOT have your reading be more than psi difference between cylinders. For example is cylinder #1 is 150 psi and cylinder #2 is 172psi then there is a problem like a burnt valve or something . From my experience these types of misses usual come from bad plugs, wires or bad injectors. Good luck and thanks for using FIX YA

I need to know what the compression specs are for a 1994 351W Fuel Injected Ford Bronco.

Minimum compression is 100 psi @ 200 rpm. The lowest cylinder reading should not be less than 80% of the highest reading. Perform the compression test with engine at normal operating temperature, spark plugs removed and throttle wide open. Normally I look for about 170 psi to 180 psi.
