Where would i find wiper motor chassis ground on 88 mustang, i mean physically on the vehicle, is it close to the motor itself, sorry if i'm naive

The metal from the motor itself grounds to the chassis metal. It is grounded where it's at.

I have a 2003 ford mustang gt wipers stopped working replaced relay and fuse and still nothing is there something i am missing. I was told that it was the connestion under the right front fender but idk...

try tapping the wiper motor, with it turned on, with a hammer if it starts the motor is worn and needs replacing. you can try attaching a separate ground wire to the wiper motor if it runs then the motor has lost its ground and you can run it this way.

My windshield wipers only work when they are on fast and not slow or timed can anyone help?

Check fuses and wiring first. See if there are any damaged wires in the vicinity of the steering column where the wires come out and at the wiper motor. Then inspect the wiper motor itself with a test meter to make sure the ground strap is actually grounding to the body shell, and that there is continuity in the other windings of the motor. If you do not mind the sparking, you can try to manually power the motor with a wire from the battery positive and touch to each of the terminals with the connector removed. If the other speeds work in that manner- replace wiper switch. If the motor does nothing- replace motor. Also if only one terminal shows continuity to ground, replace motor.

Of the wiper control has been damaged physically, replace switch.

The windsheild wiper motor won't work nor the washer squirter. None of the motors seem to be getting power.

Two things to check, first the fuse block, then the ground connection on the motor itself
that operates the wiper. One of the bolts which attaches the motor to the chassis of the
vehicle usually doubles as the ground connection and sometimes fails to make good
contact due to corrosion. Hope this helps.

Blower motor didn't work, then it came on. worked for a day, then quit again. ??

Check your fuse first. If the fuse is good, it may be a loose wire or bad connection. If not, you will have to replace it.

Windshild wipers stuck.

check the wiper motor ground wire that is supposed to be attached to one of the wiper mount bolts ( the motor is sound insulated from the body by rubber washers so the motor needs a ground wire to one of the bolts to complete its circuit), On my vehicle this had broken at the washer/compression connector that slips under the mount nut. The wire is very short so you may need to extend it with a short piece of additional wire. The battery ground strap is nearby, and it is easiest to put the extended wire under the nut for that.

If there is no blown fuse problem, this is a good candidate for the issue: no ground means no circuit means no wiper movement.

Welcome to the company of those of us with a case of the "Lost ground."

Wiper circuits are notorious for being coonected to a ganged / terminal junction ground that in 10 years starts to act weird.

Get a piece of good wire, strip both ends and physically attach it to the chassis of your wiper motor assy and attach the other end of the wire to the NEGATIVE battery post and try your wirpers.

My bet is it works fine.

If this fixes your wiper motor problem keep an eye out for other weird electrical things that start happening "out of the blue" because the problem with the missing ground / bad "terminal junction ground" is still out there lying in wait and it eventually will affect other circuits. I do not know where the terminal junction is on your Suburban without looking for it myself.

My wipers will go on, but wont turn off, unless i turn my car off, or my ignition switch back one notch, and turn it back on...1984 oldsmobile delta 88..The switch has been replaced..Is there a relay for...

the relay is built into the wiper motor its called the pulse contol module and comes with a new wiper motor. make the wipers come on and then get them to stay on while wiper switch is in the off position, then tap the wiper motor and see if it turns off, if it does then u need a wiper motor assembly and be careful opening the hood some wiper arms will contact the hood when the hood is open and the wipers are on

Although there is no guarantee, the most likely issue if there are NO other electrical types of 'gremlins' is that over time (both of my /88 Suburbans have over 300K miles on them, so that's a LOT of wiper activations!) the rotation of the wiper shaft has rubbed the insulation off of one or more of the wires in the harness to the point where rotating the arm creates a ground and kills the ignition. You might get lucky and be able to fix it yourself if you're comfortable with the idea of tearing the column down, or you might be money ahead to bite the bullet and take it to a GOOD auto electrical shop, but if you have to go that route, take the time just for giggles and disconnect the wiper motor itself and see if it still happens. If it does continue, you know it's not the motor grounding, but unfortunately if it doesn't you can't be sure if it's the motor unless you place another motor in the circuit (including the ground to the chassis) in it's place.
