The most common area would be the back of the water pump. There is a 'weep hole' that will leak when the bearings in the water pump begin to fail. Purchase a small mirror on an extending handle at an auto parts store, and with a good light, try to get a look at the back of the pump for evidence of leakage. If you find it is wet, have the water pump replaced, as the leak will get worse.

Antifreeze leaking onto belts don't know where it is coming from. Is it the water pump or the water outlet? changed the hoses

What you need to do is pressurize the cooling system, then you should be able to see where the leak is coming from.....There is a tool that does this pressure test.

1999 silhouette has leaking water pump seal can this cause serpentine belt failure due coolant or steam contacting belt

Yes it can. The material that todays belts are made of DO NOT like any foreign liquids contacting them with the exception of water. Once engine coolant gets on it, it's impossible to get it off. It will slip and squeel no matter how much you try to rinse it off. If you put anything on it other than water you will only make it worse and then it will start to Glaze onto the pulleys. The only fix is to fix your leak and replace the belt.

Why is my land rover 3oo tdi powerseering making a noise

Is it a squeeling noise drive belt? Or it could be air in the system causing cavitation due to a leak

2005 grand cherokee squealing and loss of coolant

Check belt tension, squeeling is most likely due to belt slippage. Have you noticed any fluid leaking from under your Jeep? Coolant level drop could be from bad water pump, when the pump needs replacing, water flows out of a "weep hole". It could be leaking onto your belt also, causing it to squeel

Squeeling water pump, with coolant around the pump

Most likely you have a bad water pump. When the water pump fails it leaks coolant through small holes on the top and bottom.
Before you condemn your water pump clean the area and make sure the leak is not coming from another area.

You must remove head by disconnecting belts, hoses, intake & exhaust manifolds, injectors & timing belt. Take head in for exchange or have own head checked for warpage & cracks due to overheating. If you have the necessary tools & know how proceed. If not get a qualified mechanic.

Squeeling when the car starts.

Your belts need replaced. Its the belt slipping that causes the squeel. Sometimes the idle pulley or belt tensioner will make the same noise if wore.
