Question about 1995 Buick LeSabre

Our 1995 Buick La Sabre continues to quit unexpectedly. Four fuel pumps have been installed and it continues to quit. If you dry the short block on the driver's side floor, it will start. What is going on?

The short bar connecting the ground wires becomes damp and the carpet pad becomes wet from some source. When it becomes wet, the engine quits and you must day the bar with a towel of some kind. I have tried to replicate the water leak unsuccessfully. However, when the bar becomes damp, the engine dies until you dry the short bar.

The Only thing I can see in the Driver side Is.
The Air bag diagnostic module. Under the Driver Seat.
You can check the condittion of the Connections
And Wiring under the floor carpet.
You can check the Connection In the Left kick Panel.
there is the Fuel pump Wires.
Check for any Uninsulated wire. and repair as need.

Let me know. Thank you for use fixya..

You have to pull the fuel tank to replace it.It should run continuously if the engine is running , if the key is just on it will only run for two seconds to prime fuel system .

Buick Le Sabre No Start?

I have recently worked on a 1995 Buick Le Sabre that wouldn't start. First checked the fuel pump fuse and relay, they were both good. Then proceeded to change the faulty fuel pump. Proceeded to crank the car up and NO START....
Ended up finding that these buicks have problems with there wiring. So i found the power and ground wire to the fuel pump. Grounded it to the frame, and ran a hot wire up to the dash to a on/off switch that i then ran through the firewall and into a 20 amp fuse link. From there to a power source. Now to start the car, you have to turn the fuel pump on and off when you shut the car off.
But that beats chasing the entire wiring harness down to find a mysterious short.
