You need to contact a Jag dealer and provide your VIN# to get code. It's a theft deterrent anytime battery is disconnected or radio has been removed. TIP: write down code when you get it in glovebox with a Sharpie.

I had the same problem! All you do is call your closest Jaguar dealer and give them the serial # that is under the radio(so you have to remove the radio) they did it over the phone for me and they will give you the code, it's usually gonna be a 1- 6 combo cause thats the numbers for programming if you notice.

i think there may be a fuse located on one of the wires thats attached to the radio itself, you will have to pull the radio to check it

Open the radio and it will ask you for the code. Press the code in with the numerated buttons on the lower part of the radio and if it is correct, the radio will turn on. The code also activates the alarm system of your car.

You'll need to call a Jag dealer and prove you own the car legally. Be prepared to show a bill of sale, a title, and the vehicel's VIN.

the dealer checked the radio serial#? you will have to remove the radio and give them the serial#. in US I don't think that they have codes.

Well I had a 1990 Xj6 with an aftermarket cd-changer in the trunk and it didn't work, so when I took it to an audio specialist he said that it needed to be replaced. But what he did say is that most manufactures use the same connection cables for their products, ex. Sony plugs will work on all Sony cd-changers. I now have a 1994 Jaguar XJ6 and I have the same error code. I know that Jaguar installed Alpine CHM-S620 cd-changers. So in theroy you could go to an audio store and get the same cd-changer and it should have the same plugs so you wont need to rewire anything. I havent done it yet because I just bought the 1994.
