I couldn't escape a flood while driving my X6 and the engine stopped. They say some water went into the engine via air filters. Is this possible? Shall I have my engine repaired or changed?

best thing to do is call your insurance company. yes it is possible, have it repaired if possible if insurance co. will not pay for it, motor replacement will cost several thousand $ plus you may have also damaged other things such as transmission, wiring systems and computers. thanks motor62500

Computer box problem . The car was submerged in flood, so does the computer box. One Resistor R15 was damaged. Computer box is labeled as 37820-P1E-900 on the first line. Second line is 395-352210...

I would replace the computer box- these can be very pricy! In fact I would recomend replacing the car, you will have nothing but trouble from now on. When a vehicle is submerged, water goes into all kinds of places, and really messes up the whole electrical system. The wires will start to corode from the inside out. The reason for this, is the fact that the insulation on the wire is much like a straw with wire in it. Once the wires get wet in a situation like this, they get wet on the inside also, holding that water, and eating the wire. Every flood car that I have seen, will die a slow and painfull (wallet)death.

Car has trouble starting

I am not going to guess, let the dealer do there job, if the Check eng lite is on it should be covered under the 7 year 70,000 mile federal emissions warranty, make sure they don't try to charge you for a covered part, they may if you don't ask.
