2005 Hyundai XG350. Rear wheel bearing is going. I've replaced US made vehicle bearing several times. Is there much of a difference with the Hyundai bearings? Are special tools required? I'm assuming there are inner and outer bearings. Is there a replacement housing with both bearings already installed available? Thank you

SOURCE: 1999 saab 9-3 wheel bearing removal

You need air tools, many differnet size sockets and a press. The strut/spindle and lower control arm have to come out all together. leaving the axle in the car.The spinlde cannot be removed from the strut. once removed, you can then unbolt the lower control arm ball joint nut, and seperate the lower control from the spindle - for ease for the press. press the hub out, remove the snap rings on either side and press the old bearing out. press in new bearing , install snap rings, press the hub in and reinstall. SOURCE: Audi a4 1.9tdi quattro front wheel bearing noisy

hey codycarroll, if it makes you feel better; I did the same thing, my audi fell off the jack and the brake rotor(with the weight of the car on it) landed on my foot and then rested there....not fun for the next 2 minutes of extreme panic and pain!

SOURCE: replace inner tie rod ends on 2005 gmc 1500

Yes, there is an inner tie rod end wrench, there are a few different types of wrenches available. You should be able to borrow one from one of your local parts stores. (Oreillys, Auto Zone, Napa, etc..)

Part number & where to source output shaft bearings for 2003 uk reg 1.6 litre manual Hyundai Coupe.

The easy way is to go to the dealership parts department. They would keep those in stock. Or you go to a spares motor factor like the ones below. They are picking up 'wheel bearings', but they can supply all bearing parts..

Need to change pully

Which One?
60a96c9.jpg The one on the left has two 14mm fasteners 1 nut & 1 bolt. The one on the right has the same 1 14mm nut and 1 14mm bolt. Both are simple to replace. Step 1: Relieve the tension on the pully you wish to replace. Step 2: remove the pully (front) by removing the 14mm nut. To remove the rear tensioner pully, remove both nut & bolt.
