My radio and power options wouldnt work and it said security. My boy friend disconnected the battery cables and quickly rubbed the positive and negative ends together which rebooted the computor. I do not know if its good for it or not but it definately worked my power options are back.

Check your fuses. Sometimes the radio memory power and dash lights share the same fuse. If you lose memory power to the radio, it will think it has been stolen and engage the security lock.

SOURCE: Buick Rendezvous 2002 need codes?

the BCM needs to be programmed to operate the computer. a GM techII is now required to calibrate BCM to airbag, stereo, keyless entry, and control pcm data. This is required to make it all work. a gm service should have it done within an hour or less just call and ask them how much it would be to program new BCM. it might cost @$75 to $125 but it is needed, to allow the BCM to work properly.

SOURCE: I have a 2002 Buick Rendezvous CX with a locked radio.

what you need to do is pull the radio out and write down the serial number then call the dealer for the code. they may charge you 15-25 bucks but that will save you some money

2002 Buick Rendezvous Driver's Side Climate Control does not blow out heat

Could be a sensor or one of the blend doors under the dash.
You may need a shop manual to get the troubleshooting procedure.

Buick rendezvous electric wont shut off after key is removed radio stays on and when you open door still has power with key out made the instruments in the dash act funny gas guage wont work lights stay on...

You need a new body control module. Located behind the center console under the dash. It can't be re-programed and needs to replaced with a new one that is VIN specific to your car. Dont get one from the junkyard, it wont work.

2004 Buick Rendezvous how do I override the ambient light sensor to keep dash lights on all the time

That sensor also turns the headlights on/off, not just the dash lights. You should be able to adjust the brightness.

Buick rendevous security light is on and the radio, power windows and locks will not work but the vehicle starts

You have a BCM issue.
it will have to be replaced.
Take it to a dealer, most independents cannot program new BCMs.
