One of your pulleys has a bad bearing this causes the belt to run off the other pulleys.

Check to see if your tensioner and or idler pulleys are in alignment, if the bearings wear and get loose they can throw the belt and check the belt itself and see if it is glazed or cracked. Also check to see if all pulleys turn freely (with the belt off ). Ensure all of the mounting brackets are installed properly and all mounting bolts are tight.

Verify that you have a good/correct belt then check your belt routing and alignment. Then check pulleys for faulty bearings. A free spin with the belt removed should be enough. Whats really common on those is the belt tensioner goes out

I think the crankshaft harmonic balancer pulley is coming apart and causing the belt to walk off and shred, it is the common reason.

Trying to replace water pump on 1999 Plymouth grand voyager ...there are only three bolts on the pulley and I can't for the life of me get the damn pulley off. Suggestions??

Sometimes the little inner-hub rusts itself onto the pulley. I take a rubber mallet and gently rap the edge of the pulley, turn it a bit, rap it, turn it, rap it...etc...usually that quickly works.

Every time it rains my belt slips off

Check your belt tensioner. Is the pulley running in line with the other pullies when the belt is on? The tensioner pivot can wear and cause the pulley to run slightly out of line. This can also cause the belt to squeak.

The belt is squeeking , how can i fix it ?

first make sure all of the pulleys are lined up. make sure none of the devices driven buy the fan belt are siezed up. make sure tentioner is working-replace as needed. replace belt with a Goodyear Gatorback belt. This belt does a great job at getting rid of noise caused by misalignment of pulleys.

Remove belt tensioner pulley

you need a socket and a long ratchet.when the bolt tightens,it loosens the tension on the pulley. the bolt comes out in the other direction.

2000 plymouth grand voyager 3.3 V6, loud noise in serpentine belt area

remove belt and check the pulleys. this belt routing is odd and its very tight. i have seen many failed tensoner pulleys on these. it should spin smoothly and quiet. and grinding or bumpyness in it and i would replace it. check all pulleys while your there. they are not expensive.

good luck,
