The wheel is being held on by rust, you just have to break it free from the wheel hub with a few good hit on the tire. If your still having a hard time, put the lug nuts back on but not all the way in and put the car back on the ground and move the car back and forth and being hard on the brakes. That should break the wheel free from the hub and just raise the car and remove the wheel. Good luck and be safe.

If the tire won't come off then hit the back side of the rim with piece of wood so you don't damage the rim. you might have to hit it a few times, but alloy wheels and steel was never good mix, I change tires all the time in the towing industery, if hitting it doesn't work you might have to put a pipe orsome thing to pray out with to brake it lose. try this hope it helps

Change tire

You need a jack to lift the vehicle high enough to get the tire off and the new one on, you need a lug wrench to loosen and tighten the lug nuts and depending on the rims you might have hub caps that are part of the rim or seperate and if they are seperate, you need something to pry them off with. So the proper way to do this is:
Before you raise it with the jack, take the lug wrench and loosen the lug nuts a little. This is easier when the tire is on the ground because depending on the tire location, it will turn if you lift it. So when the weight is on it, it wont turn. Then you put the jach under the car and near the tire you are lifting and you use the jack to raise the tire. Then finish taking the lug nuts off. Remove the tire and put the new tire on. You may have to raise the jack some more to make it high enough. Put the lug nuts back on tight as you can and lower the car. Then tighten the lug nuts again to be sure. You should tighten lug nuts by skipping them. In other words start with one and tighten it, skip the next one and tighten the third one. When you go all the way around, go to the ones you skipped and tighten those.

Good Afternoon. I am changing a tire on a 2006 Durango. I have loosened the lug nuts, jacked it up and then took off the lug nuts completely. The tire is still firmly in place and will not come off. Am I...

The tire may need a good kick to loosen the rusted/corroded bond to the axle, usually in the center section. Light sanding and a film of grease to the area after the wheel is off will help future removal.

Wheel wont come off, it has the custom wheels that came as an option, i took the lug nuts off but i cant tell if i have to take the center nut off

no! it must be corroded to hub, try ramming another tire into edge of it, use spare tire if possible.you can always use a sledge hammer ,but hit the inside of the tire not the rim or you might damage it.

Took off lug nuts but tire won't come off

common issue. take out your spare tire and use it to hit the inside of the wheel. this will knock it loose and save you excessive effort. once you are done you get anti sieze and apply it to the centre of the hub and install the wheel. torque is about 90 ft lbs..

My driver side tire is leaning in and when i drive my brakes smok

i'm guessing you don't have the lug nuts on all the way. loosen them and push the wheel and tire against the hub. Then tighten the lugs nuts by hand first. Then tighten with ug wrench. Each one a little at a time.

Tire troubl 95 geo prizm

what happens is there is corosion that is holding the rim to the hub with the lug nuts off you need to break the corosion by giving the tire a hard donkey kick. if that doesnt work take a large hammer and beat on the outter rim to break it loose.
good luck
