100 PSI is way to low, I think you have a burnt valve. Check the cylinder compression on all cylinders, no cylinder should be 5% lower than the highest cylinder pressure measured or the engine will run rough or misfire.

Engine miss fires after reaches normal running temp. I have a 91 chevrolet 1 ton van with a 350 4bolt engine and a turbo 400 transmission

most likely its a vaccum leak, once it gets warm, the hose or gasket expands causong it to misfire, what you need to do is after it warms up, get a carb spray and spray around the engine slowly so you can notice the change in the idle, once you locate the change in idle area, thats where the problem is, good luck

Engine light on dodge3.8 engine runs rough and idles slow 2001 dodge van

If you want to do it by yourself, I strongly recommend you to buy a manual book because there is a built-in self dianostic Check Engine light codes. And how to do it, just insert the key into the ignition and do it three times, Turn On and Off the switch but don't start the engine, and you will see the check engine blinking. Count the blink and start with 1-2 blinks, the next blink is to tells you where is the problem and it will end to 5-5 blinks.(BLINK is the CODE) and you could check in the book. If you know somebody has an OBDII Scan/Diag.,thats will be easy. ok

Check engine light is on my 1998 ram van 3500

Bring it to a parts store, most will scan for engine trouble codes for free. They will plug a hand held scan tool into the vans diagnostic port (under the dash) and 'read' codes stored in the van's computer. They can tell you what the codes mean, and suggest how to fix it. If you have any further questions at that time, post them here with the code #'s. Good luck. Curt

My 1998 Dodge Caravan has a service engine soon light on.

Well barwest , you should always have code 12 ,,, 1 blink then 2 blinks , this is not a prob it is a code to tell you that the onboard dyignostics is working. now for the code 55 this means that the code read is done . so the numbers in the middle is really your prob but you are missing a number with the 3 , do the key again and let me know remember your code is after the 1 blink and 2 blinks ,try that ,there is a number missing ok , joe
