May sound crazy but have the alternator checked, when it fails it will shut off the gauges and make all of the electronic equipment act strange. I had a cherokee that did this to the gauges but that was b/c it was full of mud from my previous trip.

Im having problems with my gauges on a 2005 jeep grand cherokee laredo. The lights will flash on and off for all the functions such as low gas, tow haul mode, the fuel gauge, speedometer, rpm guage, and...

I've had my 2005 Grand Cherokee into the dealer 5 times for the same issue and they've replaced a bunch of stuff, but have not found the problem yet. A quick fix, I've found, is to jiggle the key in the ignition. Doesn't fix the problem, but it does stop everything from going crazy! Let me know if anyone has the actual fix.

Locks, windows, and coolant sensor

I would spend the money on repairing the coolant leak,do that first then concentrate on the other problems. The LR window problem is probably due to lack of use, give it some lube.I would guess the drivers door lock actuator is faulty or out of adjustment.

Security system won't shut off

hi there i had the same problem on one of my jeeps, what you got to do if the problem is still there as you posted this on the 20th. you need to take out the big 50amp fuse under the hood, start the car and go for a drive for 5, 10 min and the put the fuse back in while the car still runs. that will get rid of the problem and will kind of reset the system.
i worked for me and haven't had the problem since.
