Must replace master cylinder and bleed system

No. Always deal with the base brake system issues before attempting ABS repairs. When the ABS light is on it means that the ABS is disabled due to a fault. The Red Brake Warning light will come on if the hydraulic pressure in the base brake system is compromised.

90 Chevy van appears to be sucking and burning brake fluid - ??

I would remove the vacuum line to your master cylinder and see if it has oil in it. If so, replace your master cylinder, the diaphragm has torn. That is the only way I see the brake fluid entering the engine.

Need to know where all the rubber seals are from the resovior to all brakes. power steering stop leak was put into resiovor and has damaged the rubber seal on the cap and blew the seal on the master...

Your system will have to be cleaned out. Master cylinder and all the caliper cylinders overhauled. Never put anything but brake fluid into the brake system. The seals are all insind the individual cylinders.

I went to start my car today and pushed the clutch in and it went straight to the floor on my 06 chevy cobalt ls. Can you help?

Check the fluid for the clutch. It has a small master cylinder next to the brake master cylinder. It should use brake fluid. If it is low, top it off. If it goes low again, you'll need to investigate where it's leaking from. You could have a leaking master or slave cylinder.

My 1994 chevy k1500 is having brake probs. Pedal goes half way to the floor before beginning to engage, and then takes lots of pressure to actually stop. Could this be the brake booster or is it more...

could be booster, could be air in system, could be master cylinder. Check reservoir. If it is out, you have leaks and air in lines. If no, listen for air leaks under dash as you push pedal. If air leak, replace booster.
If no air leak, check for vacuum at hose going into booster. If no vacuum, check hose connection to intake manifold.
If no leaks and booster is good, suspect master cylinder.

Let me know if you have questions.

Have a 1998 Chevy 1500. Brakes work but not well

If it's really hard and you cannot hear the booster making noise or it make alot of noise then I'd suggest getting a booster. Also MOST of the time the reason the booster goes bad is because of the master cylinder leaking fluid into the booster. If you take the master off and look into the booster and see fluid then replace both. If it has no fluid in it and the master looks good, then most likly the booster is the only problem!

1997 Chevy 1500 pickup 2wd v8, stepping down on brake bubbles master cylinder checked all lines checked all wheels and bleed ABS system, still have bubbles. Master cylinder is new. Any ideas?

One of the wheel cylinders is leaking, pulling air back into brake system and it's going back to the4 master cylinder. Look for brake fluid leaking at one of the wheel cylinders, that's where the problem is.

Hello. i have a 1991 audi 100. brake padel has become mushy but there are no signs of brake fluid leak on the master cylinder or the lines. the brake pads are new. thanks

Just because there isn't an external leak in the brake system doesn't mean there isn't an internal leak in the master cylinder. A mushy pedal is usually an internal leak in the master cylinder or leaking wheel cylinders in the rear brake drums. Check the rear brake wheel cylinders for fluid leaks, if there are none or you do not have rear drum brakes, your best bet is the master cylinder :)
