Code 1351 is for the ignition control module.Ignition control circuit high. This module is on the same bracket as the coil. Before you buy a new one.Try a salvage yard and get a used one.

Just did a tune up on my 86 diplomat firing order is correct, checked it over 6 times. Still misfires. I have pulled the wires and made sure they click on. Could it be I'm using autolite instead of...

The make of spark plug will make NO difference as long as they are correct for your vehicle. Any differences in make usually only applies in very high performance vehicles. Double check the firing order at BOTH ENDS of the plug leads.
Have you had it plugged into a diagnostic system or an OBD2 scanner to check for error codes? There could be issues with a coil, a fuel injector or one of the many engine sensors so the error codes will guide you to what it could be. Note, the engine warning light doesn't light up for all error codes so checking it anyway does no harm and could make the fix quicker and easier.

My 2000 ford Expedition XLT just started shaking & Engine light came on. I checked the Oil ,Transmission Oil , Anti freeze, brake fluid, power steering oil, & all that was good. Still shakes what now?

That's good you checked all that, everyone who owns a car should check that on a regular basis. Now you need to listen to the check engine light, and it's a free service. Autozone, O'Reilleys, maybe all the national auto parts stores will scan your vehicle's engine computer for trouble codes as a free service. When the check engine light comes on with the engine running, it means the computer has identified a problem or fault and turned on the light. A scanner will retrieve the trouble codes when it is plugged into the vehicle's diagnostic port-fancy name for an electrical plug-in.

It's almost certain that the shaking and rough running are linked to the fault codes. Sometimes it takes a bit of knowledgeable detective work to figure out and get to the underlying cause. But you have to travel the electronic highway with today's vehicles, so get the trouble codes first. You can post them here on fixya for help, or just google the entire code number and be inundated with information.

1997 dodge stratus code 43 engine light on

Is it worse when it's damp outside? Many times it's as simple as a good healthy tune up. Distributor cap, rotor, plugs and wires. Use champion plugs(these are o.e. on nearly all chrysler products, and work best) and chrysler actually has quire good prices on the rest. You didn't mention engine size, so you may or may not have all of these components. This is not the only possible cause, but it's the most common, and easy to check without special diagnostic equipment. just get a spray bottle, and lightly mist the ignition system components with ordinary tap water), and see if it begins to run ragged, or if there are any sparks. Feel free to contact me with any more questions! Just in passing, don't ever use distilled water for this, as distilled water is actually a much poorer conductor of electricity that tap water, well water, salt water, etc.Strange but true! good luck!

ACTION
Diagnose engine for engine misfire concern. If diagnostics determine an engine misfire which is characterized by leakage through exhaust valve(s), only replace the affected cylinder head(s).
SERVICE PROCEDURE FOR VEHICLES WITH RUNS ROUGH/MISFIRE CONDITION:
1. Perform relative compression check on all cylinders. If abnormal, check cylinder leakage and actual compression for "low" cylinders refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 303-00.
2. If leakage/compression check indicates a valve train concern, per valve train diagnostics in WSM, Section 303-00, replace cylinder head and cam assembly, pipe plugs and timing chain tensioner, per procedure outlined in WSM, Section 303-01.
3. If cylinder leakage and compression tests are inconclusive, perform misfire diagnostic, per TSB 05-22-8.

Have 2005 lincoln aviator - has miss at 30-55 MPH - no codes replaced all coils ( ford) & spark plugs (twice) - repair vacuum leak at PCV Still misses -- no codes -- help

The COPS (coils) may have shorted the drivers in the PCM (computer). You should get a misfire code for each cylinder misfiring though.

Slim possibility, but very expensive unless you have a service contract.

Check engine light on. idle very rouph.likeno fuel. code po301

A code PO301 indicates a cylinder misfire. You may want to start with a tune-up, including new plugs and wires, especially if they are original from the factory. If there is a cap and rotor, replace them as well. To double-check the problem though, I would recommend bringing your vehicle into a local technician so he can put it on an engine diagnostics computer.

I hope this gives you a start as to where to look! Please let me know if you need any further assistance in this matter. :)

Engine shaking

Usually misfire. Does the Check Engine light come ON when this happens? Whenever the "Check Engine" light comes on, there is always a DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) stored in the ECM (Engine Control Module). You'll need an OBDII (On-Board-Diagnostics) scanner to retrieve any codes recorded/set in ECM. Once you do this and let us know what, if any codes are set, then we can go from there. Otherwise, take/tow the vehicle into a Hyundai Service Center (dealership), pay the diagnostic fee. They will tell you EXACTLY what the problem is and what's needed to fix it (parts, labor, tax, time-frame, etc.)
