If it didn't come with fog lights, it may also have not included a fog light relay and/or fuse. Check the owner's manual for fuse and relay locations, and then check if the necessary parts are there.

In the engine compartment fuse box, check the 20A DRL, FOG, HORNS FUSE and confirm that the FOG LAMPS RELAY is in place. Fog lamp operation depends upon the DRL setting so the DRL circuit may be defective which would account for the headlight problems.

Sorry about that, I must have missed your post or something. The park lights and the panel lights are usually on the same fuse and therefore on the same switch. The fog lamps are on a separate fuse and switch/circuit, although the is nothing to prevent either of the fuses going at the same time. Look at the fuses first, if they are blown replace them, but if they blow again some more investigation will be required. The parking lamps/panel lights are unlikely to have a relay, but the fog lights may.

The fuse must be in the main fuse box. The position and function of the fuses is normally marked on the inside of the fuse box cover and also in the owner's handbook. If you don't come right with these, work your way through the fuses looking for a blown one. To ease your search the fuses you are looking for should be around 15 to 20 amps.

Is there a white label under the hood, called the Vehicle Emissions Control Information (VECI sticker)? That label will tell if your vehicle has California or Federal Emissions controls. ` That is the information you need to go by.

No, you are not necessarily damaging the car by driving with the light on. A flashing light means danger, but a steady light is okay to drive car, just fix ASAP.

Go back and find an ecu with the original number that was in the car. I think the parts place might be mistaken.

Retrieving the codes is neither difficult or expensive, but it does require using an analog voltmeter (the kind with a needle, and not a digital type) -which are very cheap almost anywhere-Walmart, Ace Hardware, etc. for under $10. Here is a link to how to do this (very easy) and what all the codes mean. (There are only 24 possible codes). The article also tells how to turn light off-by disconnecting battery for 2 minutes.

there is a fuse on the fuse box call ilumination, or cluster lights
that fuse is bad
it is also posible that you have no parking lights outside
remove the fog lights power from there you need to get power from the battery using a relay

What is the location of the fuse that operates the license plate light on the '93 Nissan Maxima?

Check in th fuse box, the box cover has a fuse label on it, it would direct you on how which fuse to replace. And if you cant find the label, buy a fuse tester and test all of your fuse, then replace the bad ones

Eco or PWR are lights that should be on one at the time (depending on what driving mod you choose. the button locates on the gear box. it has nothing to do with ideling. what you must check is the air filter and the whole intake pipe. make sure everything fits and nothing loose. check the cables too. make sure all wiers are fully pluged in. if the problem continues check on missfiering. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-TOQJIW19C8   after if nothing helps the cr probably needs a tune up.
