The vent just pulls out. Grab it with your fingers, and pull briskly, and it will pop right out. The new one snaps in the same way.

Check for broken/cracked wiring in drivers door where wiring exits the door and enters the vehicle. Usually contained in rubber sleeve that may need to be opened for inspection. The wiring flexes constantly with the opening/closing of the door and can break

How do you release a front passenger air bag in 2002 GMC Envoy

Are you looking to discharge and remove air bag or just remove from steering column

To remove air bag from steering column
Disconnect battery
Behind steering wheel there are four bolts tha hold bag on
They are tricky to see the bolt holes but their there tight spot
Now for the trick of wiring hopefully new style came with a release wire clip older style fed wires down column with release clip located under dash
Remove the key ignition box
The wires should be bright orange or yellow from air bag going threw column
If old style you will have to loosen turn signal indicators if wires run under mount
Once you get to end of wire clip
Use a sewing needle to push buds out of clip mark your the main side
Now for ease part
Tape a little 3 foot wire to the ends before pull completley threw this will help pull bud wires back down threw tutn indicator switch
Never force wire threw gently
Removing air bag hopefully made simple by quick release clip under horn press

2002 bmw 330i a/c not blowing cold on passenger side

Internally there are flap valves that close or open the vents.
I'm betting that the passenger side one is stuck closed, or the one that routes the warm air is stuck open

2002 grand prix dual controls driver side works fine passenger side always hot. any ideas simple ones first

from my experience, it is usually caused by the cabin air filter needing to be replaced-in the engine compartment, on the passenger side immediately in front of where the passenger sits, there is a plastic door high up just below the windshield wiper blade. Try opening that door and remove the filter (looks a little like an air filter for an engine). Close the door and start it up, see if that fixed it. If not, it gets a little more complicated, involving checking vacuum lines behind the dashboard at the climate controller.

Air conditiong vents on the passenger side blow colder than on the drivers side

Try adding just a tad of freon,if this does not help, then the actuator motor for the directional door is not moving all the way open ,it is in the dash and the dash would have to be removed to replace it.

I have a 2002 Envoy the drivers side air vent blows hot air and passenger side blows cold air not matter what the temp is set on

It's an ongoing problem with Envoy. I had the same problem on the drivers side not getting cold air. It cost me $600. They said it was a door inside the dash that diverts the cold air and the hot air depending on what you want. Worked good for a year, and now the passenger side gets cold air and not hot. Another $600 going out the door.
The repair shop said that sometimes they can adjust it, but most of the time they have to replace it. Good Luck

Heat coming from passanger side when climate control system on

There are, what they call vent door actuator motors that open, and close the vents on each side these go bad time to time.If the glove box is getting hot,the heater control valve could be another problem also.First thing to try is,behind the glove box is a vacuum junction with a threaded stud(very small). There is a nut that holds the vacuum plug to the junction. It is on the stud.Unscrew it(it is time consuming). Then gentley, remove the plug. There will be little **** that align with the vacuum plug that could come apart,so be carefull.Use a silicone spray, and nothing else, and spray in the junction, and the plug real good, and replace the vacuum plug back as soon as you can.Do this as the ac is on and engine is running,so it will **** the lubrication in where it is needed. If it is a vacuum switch is stuck, this will make it start working again. Then ,if everything (vents and cool air)starts working, check the heater control valve to see if it is opening, and closing. The heater control valve closes off the hot water from entering the heater core, therefore, keeping the temp,in the air box from heating up.If I can help, let me know.

Cold air on passenger side warm air on drivers side

Actuator motors either get a tear in the rubber or a hose is broken and not letting vacuum assist in its opening.
You can try moving the lever by hand and see if the air gets colder on the bad side.c976077.jpg
