Timing belt slipped on 2003 1.6 focus need the timing marks

there are no timing marks as such on the focus mate you have to lock the cams with a setting bar (to do this you need to remove the rocker cover and lock the cams with a locking bar)
the crank is locked up by removing a plug behind the oil pump on the back of the engine (the crank needs to be at top dead center on number 1 cylinder and this can be done by removing number 1 spark plug and using a long piece of welding wire or screwdriver, place in to the cylinder and turn over until the piston is at the top)
with the cams locked and the crank locked your engine will be timed up
please let me know if this has been of any help
cheers
big mike :)

My cental locking on my focus 2000 reg does not work, i can only open the doors with key individually, also i cannot open my boot from inside, the boot light stays on as well as the light in the car saying...

programming of remote :- ( you will need all your remotes for this )
insert a programmed key into the ignition.
turn key to position 2 & back four times within 6 second.
when you turn the ignition off after the fourth turn you should hear a beep to tell you your in programming mode for the next 10 seconds.
press any button on your new remote ( a tone will be heard when the car accepts the button press ) now do the same with your old remotes too.
either switch the ignition back on or wait until the timer runs out on the programming mode & your done

Ford focus boot lock will not open using key in lock or key remote. Front panel button has not worked for a long while. The boot opens to about an inch on the latch. Is there anything I can do to release...

try spraying some lithium grease into the latch assembly... Since your latch is releasing the primary catch point and not the secondary, it means the latch itself still works... After using the grease and letting it soak for a few mins, close the trunk and pop it several times and hope it fully releases. If not, you could try putting pressure on the trunk by pulling it open as the key is turned. Don't use WD-40
