Question about 1998 Volvo V70
You have 3 separate issues. First is the check engine light. This is set due to a fault in an emissions related component. Need to have the system scanned for fault codes and diagnosed. Brake light if it is not saying ABS/Tracs would indicate either low fluid level or a loss in hyd pressure on one of the brake circuits. Have the brakes inspected. If the high beam indicator light is on and will not go off by cycling the turn signal lever then the relay is stuck/shorted. You need a garage to resolve these issues.

The 1998 70 series Volvo is famous for the ABS control unit going bad. The codes ususally found are bad pump motor or r/f wheel sensor. There are a number of rebuilders in the US that are much cheaper than the 600 dollar new factory unit. Some ABS codes will not reset with a code reader

Codes can be removed from most mechanics with a code reader, they can check and reset them for you, bear in mind these lights came on for a reason, ask the mechanic what did the codes signify. Good luck
