Well without hearing it, i would think its a cv-shaft that has too much play banging around the same time, it also sounds like it could something internal in the trans spinning too far before engaging....mounts usually makes noise under load..just after you put it in gear, and step on the accelerator pedal, you will then hear a clunk..not as soon as you put it in gear, unless extremely bad.

Testimonial: "thanks for your help. and yes its only under load after in gear drive or reverse and just after applying accelerator. drives fine at higher sppeeds"

This could be a bearing problem, but it sounds to me like the lowwer ball joints. Ball joints are difficult to check, but if they are rusty then they are probably bad. Bearings on the other hand are not that hard to check. raise the tire/s off the ground , grab the tire top and bottom and push in and out. if there is movement in and out then the bearing is bad.

Sounds to me like your struts are shot. If you take and push down with bolth hands on your front or rear fender about 4-5 times. Look to see if your car keeps bouncing up and down or stands still quickly. If it keeps moving this is a test to let you know if your struts are worn out.

Your right, its not safe to drive in this condition, sounds like tire is strarting to seperate, but for the life of me, couldn't tell you why when only hot. Take it to a tire shop and see what they say.
