Check the bleader valves and calipers on all wheels and check for dripping brake fluid. park on cement and push down pedal and check for puddles. Go under your hood and check the brake fluid resevoir and make sure its not empty. If you cant find a leak I dont recommend driving it.

If the brake pedal goes to the floor with the car off, I would suspect air in the system or some other issue with the service brakes. If you feel and hear a growl in the pedal when it goes to the floor then your abs controller may be at fault. There are many possibilities. In either case if your pedal goes to the floor, then you are looking at a safety issue. Generally the service brake system (regular brake system) is the fault and not the abs. I have however seen a sticking dump valve or faulty wheel speed sensor cause an abs issue. Start with the basics first. Leaky wheel cylinders/ calipers, brake lines, or master cylinder. Verify the hydraulic integrity of the service brakes before tackling an abs issue.

Break pedal goes straight to the floor. ABS & Break light is on

the problem is in the brake master cylinder or brake system you have a problem , probably in a leaking line or cylinder and there is probably no oil in the reservoir at all
The abs light has been telling you for a year that you have a brake problem but you happily ignored that signal and put yourself and others at risk
You will be incapable of fixing this fault yourself so take it to an accredited brake shop specialist and have the job done properly

Breaks spongy go all the way to floor before a slowly loud grinding stop

Some ABS equipped vehicles require a scanner to activate ABS valves to allow for proper bleeding of air.

My truck leaks brake fluid after being shut off?

i think there could be air in the system and it takes a little while to work back to the reservoir and the release of the air is pushing out the fluid. try bleeding the entire brake system from each wheel to the master cylinder see if it stops it

BRAKES BLED PEDAL GOES TO FLOOR WHEN STARTED

if a master cylinder is bad and you are sure you have all the air out and no leaks.pedal will go to floor , running or not. if booster is bad it will cause a hard pedal. but if master cylinder is bad it will turn on a brake light on dash if it works. make sure the wheel cylinders are not leaking. I beleive that the master cylinder is bad, or you have a leak somewhere. If the master cylinder is functioning properly, the brake pedal will depress to a certain depth and no further.

Abs light comes on trackion light shuts off and while driving brake pedal goes to floor... what could this be causing this problem

If your ABS light is on then you will have to get the codes read to see what sensor is giving you the problem. The ABS light being on will also affect the traction control and brake pedal going to floor.Auto Zone will check codes but I`m not sure if they do ABS codes. They don`t charge so it wouldn`t hurt to ask. After you get the codes you can post back and I can help you find the problem.Good luck.

Abs system

it is a failed wheel bearing.the hub and bearing comes with an abs sensor and when the bearing could not be located by the sensor it will turn on the abs light and make the car skip when braking.check to see if your not missing any brake fluid and that the truck is still able to brake.if all is good then change the faulty wheel bearing.if you dont want to invest right away just disconnect the connector for the abs to the bearing.braking will feel normal and youll just have the abs light on.
