Hard starting when cold ( engine cranks normally )

1991 Jeep Wrangler YJ 2.5 liter
Hard starting when cold ( engine cranks normally ) sometimes the check engine light comes on, sometimes it does not. after it starts and I turn it off, it will start right up no problem and check engine light goes off. Runs great. Let it sit for an hour or two it's hard to start again. It's taking longer to start when cold.
Thanks for all the help !!

See if your engine has a ECT sensor (temp sensor that delivers information to your ECM) they are installed on the intake side of the cylinder head, it usually has 2 cables, have it checked replace if necesary

Automatic choke is on the bliz. Look and see if you can adjust it or maybe put a manual choke on it.

Check to make sure the check engine light lights up in the dash, before cranking. If it does not come on, your jeep ecu is in need of repair.

1995 JEEP WRANGLER 2.5L HARD START COLD 1 START OF THE DAY

When you're trying to start it for the first time of the day, look at the dash to see if the check engine light is on when you first turn on the ignition. If the check engine light is not lit up, your Jeep ecu is in need of repair and the vehicle will not start until that check engine light finally comes on.

Your engine computer is bad. Either you need to open it up and replace the three power caps or you need to get a new computer. The computer is not sending current to the relays. That's what's causing the delayed check engine light on your jeep.

check your coil, plugs, wires, basically your entire ignition system - test a plug wire by sticking a new (known to spark) sparkplug onto the end of the (known to work) wire and see if there is spark, if not, change out your coil and test again - if neither, check the timing of your distributor
