Hi my name is shy. I have a 93 Toyota pickup 4wd sr5. My speed odemeter does not wrk, sometime it work n don't.

thinking a speedo cable been broken, split and catches at times. remove your cluster and ligthly pull on cable to check its in one piece, drive around the block and have some one watch if cable turns(spins) in not replace your cable, other wise your spedometer is bad.

A possibility...if the coolant sensor is not working, it will dump more fuel if it thinks it is a cold engine.

My 1994 toyota pickup will not come out of 4wd.. it shifts to 4wd ( light comes on ) shifts back to 2wd ( light goes off ) but driveshaft and axles up front stay spinning even in 2wd position!

to take a 4x4 out to 2x4 when you put it back to 2x4 you have to drive the car in revase for a couple of yards so the transfer can release the front differancial good luck

1993 Chevy 1500 pickup 4-wheel drive

I replaced the malfunctioning “thermal actuator” with the “Warn” Vacuum actuator setup, it’s been working great for about 7 years now, simple install, if I remember correctly, it was about $150.
That’s what engages the front diff into 4wd.

4wheel drive won't engage

it has to be a linkage problem. the linkages had to be re moved to get the clutch out and have not been put back on correctly or at all.the clutch has no bearing at all on the engaugeing of 4wd
