Question about 2003 Volkswagen Passat
I just bought my daughter a 2003 volkswagon bug, it has 70,000 miles on it, and the check engine light just came on, however it doesn't seem to have a problem, drives the same, no vibration or anything. What should I do on low budget.
You can go to a local autoparts store, and most will scan your codes for free, and tell you what caused the light to come on. Sometimes the light is tripped by a loose or damaged gas cap, but usually it is a sensor of some sort. Anyway, having an idea what caused the light will let you know for free if there is a problem that needs attention.
