is the coolant gurggling into the overflow tank when cold. you can by kit that tells you if you have a blown headgasket from your local autoparts store or napa.if you hav flushed the system and replaced all those parts and you have all the air out of the system and your fan is working correctly i would say headgasket.because you dont always get water in the oil or oil in the water when you have a headgaskeet or head crack issue it all depends on where it fails get the test and check it out .let me know what you find maybe i can help.

The engine is newly overhauld and radiator and yet still overheating?

You cant use straight water in the system. I hope that with the engine work, the water pump fins were inspected, the hoses were inspected for separation or collapse, the thermostat was replaced and installed correctly. The last thing that you need to check if all is correct is the temp of the coolant with an other thermometer. Oh and the radiator cap needs to be tested.

My 1993 lexus es300 is overheating. one mechanic said that it was the water pump. another said the power steering pump, who is correct?

the power steering pump would have nothing to do with the engine overheating but the water pump certainly would, but before you go to the trouble of replacing the water pump you need to be certain that is the problem as there are other issues that can cause overheating, like the thermostat or a blocked radiator, the mechanic who said it was the power steering pump quiet obviously don't know too much about engines............hope this helps......cheers.

COULD BE THERMOSTAT IF TOP RADIATOR HOSE IS NOT HOT AND BOTTOM RADIATOR HOSE GOING TO WATER PUMP IS HOT THE THERMOSTAT STICKING PARTIALLY CLOSE.IF TOP HOSE IS HOT THE RADIATOR,ENGINE BLOCK HEATER CORE NEED FLUSHING OUT.IF WATER PUMP WEEP HOLE LEAKING REPLACE WATER PUMP, FAULTY WATER PUMP WILL CAUSE ENGINE TO OVER HEAT.REPLACE RADIATOR CAP MAKE SURE YOU HAVE 50 / 50 MIX SOLUTION ANTIFREEZE AND WATER IN COOLANT SYSTEM. IF ALL LOOKS GOOD CHECK ENGINE OIL ON DIP STICK, IF OIL IN DIP STICK LOOK LIKE MILKSHAKE YOU HAVE BLOWED HEAD GASKET THAT WILL CAUSE ENGINE OVERHEATING WHILE DRIVING CAR IN SHORT DISTANCE AND ENGINE OVERHEATING.

Nissan Sentra 2001 - Overheating but no hot air

It could be just air in the system, or it could be the heater matrix just by your feet, fitted central dash, check to see if the two water pipes that go into the car from the engine compartment are hot if there is only one that is then thats your problem, but if they are both cold the problem is more to do with where the water is coming from, please let me know how you get on

I had the same problem with my 95 Pickup when I got it a couple of years ago -- replaced water pump, thermostat, flushed radiator, etc. I finally noticed that the area where the radiator cap seats in the top tank (which is plastic) had a couple of gouges, which was keeping the cap from sealing properly. I cleaned it up as best I could, then bonded a large washer (used a grinder to get the exact size) into the neck for the radiator cap to seat on. Haven't had a problem since.
