Hi, I got up this morning to get into my 2006 Pontiac G6. I hit the remote to unlock the door and it didnt respond. I then opened it using key and no power to the car what so ever. I tried jumping it and still no power. Its as though its disabled completely. What should I do?

By no power, do you mean the lights and other accessories don't even work? If so, I'm not sure that's a security system -- they usually only kill the starter, but I'm not sure about that one specifically. Try arming and disarming the system and see if it works then. If no interior lights are working, etc. you probably have a very dead battery or possibly a bad connection. Hook up the jumper cables again but leave them on with the working car running for 10 min or so, then try to start it. Batteries can get so dead that they won't jump right away, especially with light-duty cables.

Programming 2006 pontiac pursuit fob

Gm and Chevy fob can be programmed at home. I have done it my self for a 01 chevy a 03 sunfire.
The steps on
 Step 1 of 5
Get in your Pontiac G6 and make sure all the doors and the trunk are closed.

 Step 2 of 5
Put your key in the ignition and hold the "Lock" button on the driver's car door.

 Step 3 of 5
Turn the G6 key in your ignition from "On" to "Off" while holding the "Lock" button, and do two more cycles of "On" and "Off" in quick succession.

 Step 4 of 5
Release the "Lock" switch on your door and press and hold the "Lock" button on your keyless remote for 10 to 15 seconds.

 Step 5 of 5
Remove the key from the ignition of your G6, and test the programming.

Or

Or

 Step 1 of 9
Enter your vehicle and close all of the doors behind you besides the driver's door. Be sure to have your keyless remote and ignition key in hand.

 Step 2 of 9
Insert and remove the key from the ignition twice in a row and then close and open the door twice in a row.

 Step 3 of 9
Insert and remove the key from the ignition again and close and open the driver's door two more times.

 Step 4 of 9
Insert the key into the ignition and close the driver's door.

 Step 5 of 9
Cycle the key in the ignition "On" and then "Off" and then remove the key from the ignition.

 Step 6 of 9
Wait for the locks to cycle to indicate the beginning of the programming sequence.

 Step 7 of 9
Press and hold the unlock and lock buttons on your remote for two seconds and then release.

 Step 8 of 9
Press and hold just the
lock button on the remote for three seconds and wait for the locks to cycle to indicate successful programming.

 Step 9 of 9
Repeat steps seven and eight to program any additional remotes and open the driver's door to end the programming sequence once you are finished.
Hope this helps

The anti-theft system has armed, we do not have a remote to use to deactivate. we can't start the car...how can we de-activate the system without a remote?

By manually unlocking the driver side door with the vehicle's key, this should disarm the alarm system. If it fails on the first attempt try turning the key to the unlock position twice in a row. This is the standard security procedure in case of remote loss or malfunction.

Keyless remote issues 06 g6

FWIW,
I've had a similar problem, but ONLY using the remote to "Unlock" the doors (that's the only button I use on the remote). I found the special coating on the "Unlock" button that makes contact with the circuit board was wearing off. I got another fob from a friend, it worked for about a year and then the same problem. The semi-conductive coating was worn off as well.
I played around and was able to open the doors by touching the circuit board itself with my finger.
If that describes your problem search the web for replacement rubber buttons, it takes less than a minute to swap-out, they range from $700 to $10 plus shipping.
Also your fob shouldn't have needed re-programming, the dealers are making a fortune with this re-program ****.

For the technical types;
The coating is a semi-conductive coating. The resistance of a "good" pad was hard to measure. I put resistors across the circuit board, I started @ 10k, it worked, then 100k, 100k didn't work, 82k worked fine. I just added a small micro-switch and no problems since.

Good Luck

How can i start my car without Remote keyless entry?

Use the driver's door key cylinder> Lock and unlock the car with the key after all doors are closed and this should solve the problem. If not, then it has nothing to do with the RKE Transmitter.

There is no onboard programming procedure for this vehicle. This vehicle requires special equipment be connected to the vehicle to program the keyless remote. SEE THE DEALER.

Unlocks trunk, but other functions disabled

If you can't live without the key fob and use the old fashion key, I am sorry to say it is time to go visit Mr. Goodwill. Bring lots of money and your first born child for collateral.
