The fuel filler door release is the black button at the front of the center console storage compartment.

If your fuel filler door release won’t operate, there is a manual release tab. The tab is located against the upper trim in the rear compartment on the driver's side.

Asking where abouts of fuel latch to release door top up fuel please?Holden Barina 2 door hatch auto 2005,thanks in advance

The fuel door release latch for a Holden Barina 2 door hatch auto 2005 is typically located on the driver's side of the vehicle, near the bottom of the dashboard.
To access the fuel door release latch, you will need to look for a lever or button that is labeled with a fuel pump icon or the word "Fuel". Once you locate the latch, simply pull or press it to release the fuel door and access the fuel filler cap.
If you are having trouble locating the fuel door release latch, you can refer to the owner's manual for your vehicle or consult a mechanic or dealership for assistance.

Trying to open the fuel door

I don't have a KIA but my car's auto fuel accesss door can be manually released from the trunk. Open the trunk and pull down the inside panel on the side of the fuel access door. My car has a green pull cable that will release the door. Try and find it. They must have provided a manual release for situations like that. G

I can't open the gas tank panel on a Dodge Charger

There is a fuel filler door release switch on the driver's side door in the map pocket. The fuel filler door will pop open when the switch is pressed. It is closed manually.

If this system is malfunctioning, a manual release is located in the trunk. Remove the access cover which is located on the left-side inner trim panel and pull the release cable. The fuel filler door will pop open.

It can be fuse problem.Or it can be door latch problem. There should be a small pull tab inside trunk on the left side behind fuel door area.Pull this tab to open fuel door until the automatic open feature can be diagnosed and repaired.remove the material from the drivers side of the trunk around the area where the fuel door is located and you should find a method of manual release. Fuel filter door on my 1998 Camry will not come open when the lever is pulled up.

Hello. The most common cause for your problem is a broken release spring.

Here is what you need to do:

Have a helper pull up the fuel door release. With a credit card, insert it between the door and the body, and pull the door open. When you get the door open, look at the hinged side. There will be a small metal tab. If it is there, bend it out. This is the release spring. If it is not there, you need to get a replacement from a Toyota Parts dept. They are about 2 dollars. Easy to install; slip the old one off, and click the new one in.

Is there an emergency release for the fuel door on the 1998 Camry? The release/open lever isn't working and I am very low on fuel.

You'll have to remove the trim on the inside of the car right behind the fuel tank in order to release it manually.

If you're lucky, the cable may have separated either at the fuel door, or at the lever and you may be able to run a new cable by threading it through the old one. Otherwise, you'll have to remove all the trim to trace the cable. You may also be lucky and that the cable runs under the bottom of your car

Fuel tank door release, 2004 Honda Civic

The release cable is sticking or broken. To release the fuel door, open the trunk and pull off the fabric liner on the left side of the trunk. Behind this liner is the fuel door release cable; this cable leads to the fuel door and attaches with a twist-lock connector. It is cylindrical with two tabs. Twist the connector clockwise about 90 degrees and it should pull out, releasing the door.

Just remember, the fuel door will not stay closed until you put the connector back in.

Fuel filler door opener

In my case, I found that it's because there's a clip spring on the hinge of the fuel door that went missing, that's why when I pulled the tab inside of the car, even though that works, the fuel door won't "pop" open, so I do have to jam a pen under the tab, and use my finger to pry it open. I suspect once I have the time to go the dealer and get the spring back on, everything should be fine.
