Sounds more like a resistor fault than a motor to me... the resistor can be purchased seperately saving lots of hard earned beer tokens! It is the 4" long Green ceramic part by the motor.

I have a 94 Nissan altima. Originally the heater blower only worked on level 4 then it wouldn't work at all until I discovered If I hit my dash or kick where the blower is It would come back on. Eventually...

Well the blower motor resistor is the fan speed issue, no heat is most commonly a thermostat, replace both and it will probably keep you warm and safe.

Where is the blower motor relay located on a 2010 jeep liberty

on all speeds, is it dead sounding or only no air flow???
wow no symptoms posted only this goose chase deal.

use the scan tool yet? see all DTC errors.
2008 cars can report most cause of lost power etc,
not scanning, invites expensive gue$$ing.!!

HVAC 101: (
gdoes the motor have 12vdc on high? at connector to it>?
on all speed's (now that is a KEY FACT there)

  1. defeat air bag first or die , fiddling these parts.
  2. do the HVAC calibration yet? per FSM.
  3. scan it yet ,if not you will guess wrong. I promise,
  4. i have to stop my online page ,is missing the wiring sections.

calibrate damper:
Use this procedure to ensure that the A/C-heater control is correctly calibrated to the blend door actuator. If the calibration is not correct, the heating-A/C system may experience a condition where full heating or cooling capabilities cannot be obtained.

Many steps can not be done with out a real jeep scan system.
sorry, cant.

I just replaced a starter on my 94 Honda civic 5 speed ex and that wasn't the problem I think its the clutch pedal safety switch can I replace this or is that even the problem?

you can verify it it's the clutch switch by bypassing (unplug electrical connector and run a small jumper lead between connectors)

My 2006 GMC sierra 1500 heater fan stopped working. It started about 6 months ago when the high speed stopped working, now none of the speeds works.

This is your blower motor regulator. It is under the glove box and behind the blower motor itself. They are cheap to purchase but a pain in the rear side to replace. Hope this can help you out sir.

The heater switch stopped working - could this be a fuse or is the unit replaceable?

Yes, check the fuse first. Make sure that none of the blower speeds work, a common failure is heater blower resistors that cause one or more speeds to stop working.
Next, it is just as likely or more that the blower motor itself has failed or is stuck.

Blower motor or resistor?

If it was the motor that went out then it would not blow at all. The resistor is the culprit that starts killing off speeds. It should be about $25 to $30 at an aftermarket store like autozone or advanced auto parts.

Heating Problem w/2000 Plymouth Breeze.

Sounds exactly like what my mom's car was doing as for the blower only working on high. It was the resistor... I assumed it was the climate controls and replaced them but it didn't change anything then i thought that i must be the blower motor and replaced that too but it turned out to be the resistor which is under the dash on the passenger side of the car.
