I turn the key and there is no sound. The car won't start. All the dashboard lights work, headlights work, so I don't think it's the battery. Could it be alternator or starter? It's for a 2005 Nissan Altima.

When headlights turned on the dashboard lights dim and after 5 minutes a warning sound comes on.

Sounds like your charging system needs some attention.
1st check battery for voltage should be 12.50 or better with car off
2nd, start car check battery for voltage again should be 14.0 to 14.75 volts.
3 with running turn on headlamps and check charging voltage again if your voltage dropped to battery voltage your charging system is not working.

My 1999 camaro will not start, the dashboard lights and headlights are working and are strong but when I turn the key to start it there is no response from the starter

you most likely have the side mount battery the treads gets worn down and the screw holes in battery get loosen I would try to convert it over to top mount or buy new screw kits for side mount

Lights turn on when car is off, wont engage when started and hazard lights are flashing really fast. had to unhook battery, 03 windstar, any advice

All the thing's your having problems with are computer controlled .The main light switch is a low voltage device , controlled by the instrument cluster . The instrument cluster is connected to the vehicle control moduel system via the SCP - standard corporate protocol , messages are put out on the data network to other modules to control lighting ! The (REM) rear electronic module an the (FEM) front electronic module .

You could look for a loose connection (ground ) But your best bet take it to a qualified repair shop (ford )

Clicking sound but engine won't start

This actually does sound like the battery is low on charge. A battery which is quite low on charge will still light the headlights and run many other electrical accessories, but will not engage the starter (which requires much more power than other accessories).
I would start by making sure that an electrical device, such as interior lights, glove box lights, trunk light or something else has not been left on. Then carefully jump start the engine. It is also possible that the battery might need to be replaced for not holding a charge.

2006 ford mustang wont start after driving the car for a few hours cut car off and parked for about a hour or so when returned to get back in car to leave the car would not start the lights inside the car...

Sounds like an electrical mess up. Im not too familiar with ford and newer vehicles. It could be the starter getting jambed. The make a grinding/clicking noise..Something like a selenoid? Just ideas..
