Something like that is a bit hard to diagnose via the internet, but it sounds like one of a few things:

Clogged air filter

Clogged or damaged fuel filter

Damaged vacuum line (this happened to me, but caused only the RPM issue, not the stalling issue)

I would strongly recommend taking it to a mechanic though, as some damage now may turn into more damage later if left alone.

My 2002 VW Beetle turbo deisel was driving down the road and just stopped, someone told me it could be a ECU problem. What and Where is the ECU?

COULD BE WATER IN FUEL.DRAIN WATER FROM FUEL FILTER BY THE DRAIN PLUG UNDER FUEL FILTER REPLACE FUEL FILTER.IF ENGINE STILL STALL OUT PROBLEM COULD BE THE FUEL INJECTION PUMP.THAT WOULD BE A DEALERSHIP FIX.

Where is the second fuel filter on a f250 desiel ford truck?

One on the drivers side frame by the fuel pump. And one on top of the middle of the engine.

Diesel rodeo dies and lack power when cold and in winter

Try changing the fuel filter and get the glow plugs checked or replaced .Diesel goes a little waxey in colder weather making it harder to go through the filter .
Hope this helps.

Stalling when cold

Have you changed your fuel filter? Pump ok otherwise would be doing it all the time. Injector pump on some of these has a thermal advance solenoid on the side of the pump If so check power going to it Also check glow plugs and after timer

1998 V70 Turbo stalls/won't re-start after engine hot

First change fuel filter and then change air filter. A turbo requires good air flow to spool-up correctly

Ford focus 1.8 turbo deisel 1999.

do not understand you what you mean. assuming your car was ok before you changed f/filter you need to bleed the fuel system of air. esiest to do would be to loosen fuel line at the injectors and have assistant crank the engine while you observe for clear fuel leak without any air bubbles from fuel line.tighten fuel lines and start engine. might have to repeat a few times. good luck.
