Question about 2000 Chevrolet Venture
The oil light comes on every 3,000 miles or so as set by the dealer. It doesn't actually 'check' your oil. So your oil changes are probably not going to coincide with the change oil light. So you will have to reset the light on your own. The solution above is what the manual says to do, however, my venture is temperamental, and I have found that I have to press on my accelorator 5-6 times before it will reset the light.
