Question about 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe

1 Answer

My airbag light just came on today - unfortunately right when I was getting my state vehicle inspection done! lol I have a 2004 Santa Fe w/ 94,500mi. It's never been in an accident, and all routine maintenance has been kept up. Any ideas, and if I have to take it to a dealership, how much can I expect to have a look-see set me back. Thank you for your time.

2004 hyundai santa fe center console removal

hi,
haven't personally removed interior of one of these vehicles. However having done so on many vehicles, you always start the process as the vehicle was assembled, just reverse the procedure. Check if the center console bin has hidden screws behind blanking plugs as well. A hint is that the seats are usually fitted last.

Why does my 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe stalls in cold weather randomly

Vehicle batteries tend to die during cold weather months since more amperage(power) is required to turn over the engine.

How do I connect a trailer hitch power plug to the break lights and tail lights to my 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe.

Under the vehicle by the tail lights locate the lights wiring and look for this colors.
it's only four colors white-ground point,brown-parking lights,yellow-left side turn signal light and green-right side turn signal.
you are going to need a test light to find the correct wire,if you can't locate the wiring unther the vehicle then remove the tail lights and do the connections there.

The airbag light in my 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe light is on but has never been deployed. At first it flashed on and off but now it stays on. Do you have any ideas to what the problem is?

It may just be a bad seat belt buckle, the switch breaks but is inside the buckle and you would need to replace the buckle, the coorect way to know for sure is to have the airbag computer scanned and there will be stored codes, the code will tell you what part of the system is failing or failed, hope this helps.

How do I remove the passenger airbag on a 2004 Hyundai Santa fe?

First disconnect your battery and wait at least 1 minute to disable your airbag system. Next, remove your glove compartment and you will then see the retaining bolts for the airbag.

If you live in the US, take it to qany Auto Zone store and thy will read the codes off for you, I would suspect any right thinking competitor would do the same, check if you don't have one near by.

Hope this is of some help.

There is no ABS brake light. Take the vehicle back to whatever service center/garage did the brake work and tell them to fix it.
