Remove radiator cap with engine cold, remove enough fluid so it can be replaced with stop leak. Add all stop leak & top off with anti freese. Put cap back on & start engine. Run engine for at least 20 minutes or take for a drive. Leak should stop if not too severe.Hope this advice helps if so rate accordingly. Good luck!

In the radiator. But be careful with stop leak it may clog openings where you don't want them clogged. Check all gaskets. Including the head gaskets and all hoses. if you add coolant to the raiator , be sure and bleed the system by turing a bleeding screw counter clockwise located near the thermostat housing. That is, with the engine running at operating temerature. Let all air out until only antifreeze and water come out.

Directly in the radiator. Putting it in the overflow bucket won't do much good because it won't reach the leak in any strength to fix it. Make sure you follow their directions to the letter in order for it to be effective. Hope this helps.

look for a bare metal cap with little wings on it at the nose of the car. this is the radiator cap. only open that cap when the engine is cold. also, test your coolant while your at it.

With the engine cold, remove the radiator cap and remove enough coolant, with a turkey baster or the like, to add the sealant. Put the extracted coolant in the overflow reservoir.

How do i remove engine coolant cap on 2001 cadillac dhs

WAIT UNTIL YOUR ENGINE IS COLD,YOUR RADIATOR PRESSURE CAP IS LOCATED ON THE COOLANT OVER FLOW RESERVOIR, THATS WHERE YOU ADD COOLANT WHEN COOLANT LOW,YOU POUR COOLANT IN THE OVER FLOW RESERVOIR UNTIL COOLANT LEVEL REMAIN AT FULL COLD MARK DONT OVER FILL OVER FLOW RESERVOIR, WHEN COOLANT LEVEL STOP DROPPING WHEN ADDING COOLANT AND COOLANT LEVEL STAY AT COLD MARK ON THE RESERVOIR YOU RADIATOR HAS THE CORRECT COOLANT LEVEL IF COOLANT LEVEL KEEP DROPPING CHECK FOR COOLANT LEAKS AROUND RADIATOR AND THE TOP AND BOTTOM RADIATOR HOSES, LOOK FOR COOLANT LEAK AT WATER PUMP GASKET OR SEAL OR LEAK AT WATER PUMP WEEP HOLE IF YES REPLACE WATER PUMP.

Where is the radiator cap located on 2001 Saturn SW2?

Your system does not have a cap on the radiator. It is a 'sealed system' with the reservoir holding pressure. This is not so much an 'overflow' tank like some systems, but an expansion tank.

You can add the stop leak directly into the tank.

My 89 Taurus leaks Radiator coolant

- Check if its not only a loose collar on the radiator hoses.
- If the radiator itself leaks, you can add a radiator leak stop. You will found the product at every mechanics shop. It's the most cheap solution.
- If it's a hose that's leaking, you can repair it easily with tube repair patches. But, remove the hose, and rinse it very very very well with clear water, and remove all dirt with ethyl alcohol ( acetone will destroy the rubber )

It's on top of the radiator. Don't add stop leak to the reservoir, it will only create other problems.
