Hi, look under your bonnet then towards the windscreen end of the bonnet you will see a small plastic resevoir that sits on top of a cylinder with four thin mettle pipes coming of it this is the brake fluid resevoir it will say on top of the lid that you undo use only brake fluid or something to that effect.

Make sure you find the correct resevoir it will be at the back just under the windscreen under the bonnet ok.

Let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

Also if you have the owners manual then it will give you a picture in their of where the brake fluid top up resevoir is

ABS LIGHT AND BRAKE LIGHT ARE ON

Check the brake fluid level and add if needed. If the fluid is low ...I would inspect the brake system. Inspect brake pad thickness and check for any brake fluid leaks. If the fluid is full and the abs light is still on..the code or codes will need to be retrived from the ABS Module to determine what part of the system is having a fault.

I have a 2003 yukon xl that has the ABS light on and the brake light also on, also on the message box were the mileage appears it says service brake system

check brake fluid level first- if low add , second - look at wheels - if a lot of black/brown buildup on wheel- wheel cylinder could be leaking- warning lights tend to come on for a fluid problem

The brake indicator light is flickering.

If it's flickering while driving, check to see if your brake fluid level is at max level line.
if not at max, add more fluid.
if at max, check brake reservior cap. there should be a float on a stick located under the cap. There shouldn't be any brake fluid inside the float.
If there's fluid in the float then replace brake resercior cap.
note:The float set the brake indicator light to let you know that brake fluid are low. Brake fluid inside the float cause it to sink making the car think that fluid are low.

Reset low brake fluid light after bleeding brakes it was off before I bled them

Check your brake fluid level, the low brake light reset it self when the fluid is at the right level.
If that did not help, inspect the wire leads to the sensor on the brake reservoir or replace the sensor if level is proper.
Thank you for using fixya and be safe.

E Brake light is on

based on the very limited amount of information given, in general when the brake light comes on it could be for a variety of reasons but it is always best to start simple. Open the hood and somewhere towards the back you should see a plastic container that houses the brake fluid. It should have a warning on top about using only DOT approved brake fluid or some similar warning. Check the level as indicated on the outside of the brake fluid tank. If it is low add to the proper level. The fluid level will be low because you either have (A) a leak or (B) your brakes are going to need to be changed soon. Adding fluid (should) make the light go off but you should have the brakes inspected ASAP and most places do it for free.

Tracton control comes on on my oldmobile silhouite

A common cause for a Traction light is a faulty front ABS wheel speed sensor or harness. When the Anti lock brake computer sees a problem in the ABS syetm, it disables traction control as well.

Brake light comes and goes

Go to the vehicle, raise the hood. Observe the level of brake fluid in the reservoir in the master cylinder (plastic bottle in front of the driver side firewall)...Look at the side of the plastic bottle...if the fluid is low, this will cause the brake light on the dash to blink on & off. There is a sensor in the cylinder reservoir, that measures the volume of brake fuid. As the brakes wear, the fluid level drops proportionatly. If you have low fluid, you may need some front brakes. Get the brakes checked. If you add fluid, just ot make the light go out, please understand that when you DO get new front brakes, the fluid that you added will be squeezed out of the cylinder, and it will get all over the paint in the engine compartment. Brake fluid damages paint. Hope this helps, and Thanks for choosing FixYa.
The graciousness of a FixYa rating would really be appreciated on my solution to you. Thanks.

Brake light will not go off

Your brake fluid is most likely low due to pad wear add fluid and the light should go out. Also check the thickness of your front disc brake pads.
