Check that the window regulator didn't catch the wiring and pull the plugh or damage the wiring. Also check that the wires inside the rubber boot between the door and post aren"t broken. they often fail just from use and moving them a bit may have caused a bad one to finally let go.. Top right fuse (25A) should power the locks check that too.

If you hear noise, it means you did not hook up the lever when you removed the door panel for the window. Also you may have not plugged it back in or may have accidentally unplugged it. I would take a minute and remove the panel again and look at the actuator and follow the wires back to the switch. I think you will find something did not get hooked back up. Even happens to the pros.

Power window

Sounds as the window regulator motor is bad. You could measure the voltage first at the window regulator motor connector to be sure that the voltage is there when you want to open the window. If there is no voltage, then the problem is or the passenger door module (in front passenger door) or wiring from the door module to the regulator motor.

I HAVE A 1997 JEEP CHEROKEE AND THE DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW MOTOR WENT COMPLETELY DEAD. HOW DO I KNOW IF IT NEEDS A NEW MOTOR?

If all the other windows work...that will eliminate the fuses and relays.
You can check the window switch...but the easiest way to check it and the motor at the same time is to remove the door panel to get to motor.

Using a multimeter, check for voltage at the power plug of the motor.
If you toggle switch and you get voltage...switch is good.
Reconnect power to motor and try moving window.

This will determine if you need motor or a window regulator...or both.

Hope this helps...

1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee front passenger window will not operate where is the motor located how do I tell If it the motor, switch or regulator causing it not to work?

first check the switches on driver's door and passenger door , most often this is the cause. switch them around to check or use jumper wires in the connectors. motor is inside the door low towards the front. motor is bolted to window regulator assembly.
1. take off door panel and plastic liner
2. remove 3 or 4 bolts retaining assembly with window up, but mark exact location as this affects alignment
3. pivot assembly to remove rollers from track on glass
4. remove assembly through largest opening on inner door frame
5. un bolt motor from regulator
6. Install in reverse order
I am willing to elaborate on any and all of these points untill you are done, just reply to this feed for more info

I have a 2000 Cherokee sport 4 door, 4wd. The left windows work fine but the right front and rear do not work. The LED light on the switch itself is lit. I replaced the window regulator for the front left...

Take a door panel off on the right, and see if you have power and ground going to the regulator when you press the button. If you dont, then your going to be chasing wires

Power window systems failing in past few months. 3 of 4 now dead.

before spending alot of money on windows motors, try to take out the switch in the door handle and spray contact cleaner in the switch.. sometimes if you use alot of armor all on the door panels it will work its way into the switch and make it dirty.
