Question about 2005 Chevrolet Impala
I have done what ronald said. I also installed a shift kit, due to a line pressure problem caused by a failing pressure solenoid. If you are having a hard jerk from takeoff, you are having a traction control sensor issue. Trust me I own a 2004 Impala ls. i have been pulling my hair out since i bought it.

All of the shifting solenoids are in side the tranny, by the sounds of if you might be able to try a service on the tranny, new filter and fluid might help alot. try that first before spending alot of money.
