Could be the starter, but make sure your cables are tight and clean on both ends, and make sure there is nothing draining the battery. Even a new battery can go dead, and they will make that clicking when they are low. Try boosting or charging your battery first, and see how you make out, but like i said above, check that everything is clean and tight first.
If it starts when you charge it up, you'll have to find out if something is killing it. A glove box light, or a tail light that isn't shutting of, etc.
If everything checks out, then, change the starter.

Its making a clicking noise wont start

Your battery needs to be replaced. It does not have enough voltage to turn the starter motor over.

Turn key just a clicking noise. Lights come on. Check engine light on

A weak battery will make the lights come on & energize the solenoid for the starter, but the battery is too weak to make the starter motor turn. Checking the battery would be first, the solenoid second.

Turn key, makes clicking noise but not start.

Double check your battery connections. If the battery is new and the starter makes a series of clicking noises when the key is held in the start position than you are not getting a good power supply to the starter or there is not a sufficient ground.

Why won't my 2001 pontiac bonneville wont start? All it does when i turn the key is click twice

Try checking your ignition fuse. Check your battery and make sure it is good. Check your wires and terminals and make sure they are cleaned and tight. If you do have interior lights, it may be the starter or startr solenoid.

My 2006 VW Beetle will not start after numerous attempts of turning the key over...there are no indicator lights coming on when I turn the key my battery possibly dead?

Possibly. If it is making a faint click-click-click noise or not making any noise whatsoever, chances are its your battery.

Have the battery boosted, as per boosting instruction in your owners manual.

You may want to replace the battery anyways, as every time a battery is completely drained, cells in the battery die, and it will not hold a full charge.
