The front brakes do 70% of your braking and the rears do 30% of you braking that is the way 90% off cars and trucks are built

2000 ford escort zx2 s/r with disk brakes I replaced the reer calipers and roters also the ebrake cables but the ebrake doesent work! I have also bled the brakes and added brake fluid

you will have to adjust up the e-brakes to make them work.. Some e-brakes are adjusted by turning the calliper piston or by repeated application of the e-[brake lever that the cable is attached to. Check out the manual for the adjustment

What would cause the front brakes to get so hot it pops the tire.

-siezed caliper
-collapsed brake hose, restricting fluid flow causing opposite brake to work harder building excess heat

Top and the left front window and right reer window and mirrors dosn't work.

Sounds like a lot of problems. Check fuses first. Did they all of a sudden stop working? Has the vehicle been in a car accident?

When i apply my brakes my front end shakes

harder you press, the harder you shake? My guess is that you're front rotors are warped, causing unconstant breaking, causing it to pulse? Or further describe the shaking?

I have replaced the front brakes and right front 98 ford tarus.

typically if you pump the brakes and it gets harder by each pump the master cylinder is good.Check all calipers for leaks, and rubber hoses..still no signs of leaks then open the bleeder screws on both front calipers and let them drip for about 15 minutes, and keeping the resivoir full of fluid..tighten the bleeders and pump them up..hopefully they work and all it was is a little air in them still.

Rear brakes make a grinding sound

Check your brakes ASAP. When you hear a noise like that the brakes are usually already shot. Check them and you may needf machine work done or have to replace the drums/rotors. When I say about checking the brakes check the front also even thiugh they are not grinding they are working harder to stop the car since the rears are grindinding.

What does it mean whan the right reer tire locks and will not move when it is shifted into both drive and reverse?

you have pads on the back then the calliper is seized. If you have drums fitted the the shoes are locked to the drum.Cylinder seized or linnings come away from shoes causing brake lock up.Hope that was help full good luck.

Ford Expedition rear brake brake replacement

The rear pads are usualy harder than the front and the harder the pads the more wear there is on the rotors Unless the rotors were worn to the point of replacement they could have had them skimmed.Being soft doesnt make much sense.Have an 03 ba falcon and only replaced our rotors after doing 125000ks The expidition is a similar beast that used the same brake system.Get the rotors skimmed and go to a slightly softer pad to extend rotor life
