Give these websites a try www.alldatadiy.com and www.autozone.com if all fails stop by your local library and get your hands on a Haynes auto repair manual for your car wish you the best of luck Michigan Man. the fuel gauge maybe a fuse or the sending unit and it may not be your trasmission it could be your brakes or a axle.

1993 mitsubishi montero rs fuel gauge doesnt work

in alot of cases it is a ground issue in the wiring system. would try moving them around some by the tank and see if this helps to find the one and yes in alot of cases you have to drop tank but not all the way. just enough to check wires. fuse that runs gas gauge runs all gauges....hope this helps some and good luck.

Does the fuel tank in a 2004 Mitsubishi Diamante needs to be full in order for the gauge to work?

Hi Marglitt, The gauge should work with any amount of fuel and indicate how much is in the tank. What does happen on modern cars, is that the gauge will fail to move if a small amount of fuel is filled into the tank. This is a measure taken as most petrol driven vehicles have the pumps immersed in fuel, which helps cool the pump and prolongs the life of the unit. The reserve light may remain on if the fuel level has not risen above the operational level of the same warning light. My 2002 Mitsubishi Diamante starts up fine, but when i put it into drive or reverse the car wont move. Im almost positive it is some sort of transmission problem, but what can i do to fix it?

You will have to replace it.
Pull off the wheels, pull out the half shafts, put a jack under the tranny, unbolt the tranny drop the tranny, remove the water lines if it has them, remove the sensor cables. install the new tranny.

I have a 94 Mitsubishi Diamante ES. A month ago I noticed that transmission was getting stemming hot after driving on a high way. I let the car cool down and then nothing happened for about two weeks....

theres a good chance you need a replacemnt transmission. Since this problem is real your only option to get it professionaly inspected . We can guess, but a guess isn't going to fix it.

these acr have problems with the crank pulley, this makes the belt get loose, or theres bolts missing that hold power steering pump or tensioner on,remove the belts and take a good look at the crank pulley, the outter part of the pulley is held on by rubber, this rubber dries out and the outter pulley loosens from the inner part of the pulley causing belts to loosen and squeal,

93 mitsubishi diamante, starts runs for 5 mins then sputters out. cant restart for about 10 mins, then same thing. replaced fuel pump, fuel filter, rotor, dist cap, new plugs and now im lost. and cant find...

Check all of the cables near intake. Make sure all of the sensors are pluged in.  Since if sensors have plugs that are loose than you could have a problem of inconsistent runing.

Atomatic transmission won't only has second gear

Sounds like you have a solonoid out in your transmission. No simple fix for this. You will more than likely have to drop the transmission to replace solonoid.
